I may serioulsy need to rethink my desire to move to FL. I am afraid of bugs to the point I have nightmares. All this talk is grossing me out.Welcome to Florida. That was the first thought that crossed my mind when you said you were sitting on your lanai last night. I never venture outside to sit after dark in the southeast. Thats the only thing I don't miss about Charleston...disgusting palmetto bugs. Gag.

See, it's the alligators that freak me out. I remember we looked at a really nice house along a canal in Tampa and I could just picture my bichon getting eaten by one.I may serioulsy need to rethink my desire to move to FL. Omg really? LolSo jealous. My apartment has a pool but my SO refuses to swim in a “public” pool. It’s not even public just for the residents of our building lol
I’m not gonna order yet. I’ll wait and see if they get that one back in stock. For now I have my Halloween one anyway which I loveWoo thank you! I am off to check for myself. You are 100% right. The pink snack one was originally included. I guess it hasn’t come back in stock yet.
ooh, yeah, alligators are scary. I think those chameleons are cute, lol.See, it's the alligators that freak me out. I remember we looked at a really nice house along a canal in Tampa and I could just picture my bichon getting eaten by one.
Florida was the only place I've lived where bugs did me in (a few roaches, ants, fleas, etc.) And I know chameleons are harmless but those things are creepy!
I want that snack one too!I’m not gonna order yet. I’ll wait and see if they get that one back in stock. For now I have my Halloween one anyway which I love
I hate bugs too but I’m not paying to sleep in a hotel lolDoor handles, buffets, tv remotes -these don't phase me. Now bugs, especially cockroaches, are a whole different story! I'd be sleeping in a hotel!!! I'm freaking out just reading this![]()

I just found a cockroach in our kitchen sink. Should I be worried?
What about our cats?
I didn’t know what a palmetto bug was so I looked it up. It looks almost exactly the same as an American cockroach. Do palmetto bugs crawl in the pipes? We found the bug in the kitchen sink.Wait until you come across a Palmetto bug! You can put a saddle on them and it’s like they even got GPS to human heads LOL I’m terrified of roaches, sharks and lightning. You’d think I’d have the good sense to move out of the lightning capital that is surrounded by the ocean on 3 sides and infested with roaches and their gigantic palmetto bug cousins.
Pest control each month is good. Another option is to purchase food grade diatomaceous earth and sprinkle it along baseboards and the perimeter of the house as well as pet bedding. It’s harmless to pets that don’t have an exoskeleton. You can even it the stuff. It is extremely effective in killing all bugs though.
