@speedyfishy You have multiple open Citi AA biz cards on one account right? I'm nervous about applying for a second one for DH while the first is still open, and it might be hard to get him on the phone with them to cancel this week.

Can't wait to hear this review! Hoping to stay there next year.

Aladdin is an INCREDIBLE show!! DH and I both agreed we would gladly see it again. I still can't figure out that magic carpet. Serious Disney magic there!
:( I love the little bits of Alladin we get on DCL. We've seen Lion King (and Beauty and the Beast) in Richmond but I'd so much rather see Alladin or Wicked than Phantom which my daughter has already seen.

Are are season ticket holders for our areas Broadway touring season. Call us terrible, but we didn't love Aladdin. It was gorgeous and spectacular, but it wasn't our fave. We have seen the Lion King twice, I prefer that to Aladdin. We are selling our Frozen tickets, can't stand the movie LOL. Wicked is one of my all time favorites, I have seen it 5 times. My dd first saw it when she was 10 and that triggered her obsession with musical theater. It's no longer her favorite, but still a sentimental favorite for her.

I saw Lion King when it came to Richmond a couple years ago too. It was just as great as everyone told me. I've also loved all the additional songs in both shows. Haven't ever seen Beauty and the Beast, but I would love that! I loved the live action movie.

I currently have three open. All under my name and social no EIN.

Thanks!

PLASTIQ 1.5% PROMO RATE = DEAD :(

https://www.doctorofcredit.com/plastiq-promotion-for-1-5-fee-on-mastercard-payments-1-discount/

Update 11:04pm ET: Plastiq has now clarified with us that the promotion is an official promotion, but only for targeted users in Canada on select payments. It was a system error causing it to work on all Mastercard payments, and that’s now been fixed. Far as I know, whatever payments were sent already are locked in at the lower rate, but I guess we’ll find out.
And I wonder if Plastiq would've figured this out so soon if DoC hadn't posted about it...

I'd assume that this has nothing to do with the 1% deal on those MCGCs (maybe somebody here can verify that?)

EDIT: @Lain - I mentioned this in response to your original comment on the news thread. Bummer for sure!

EDIT2: I verified this is dead myself by initiating a payment just now. If anybody has one of the MCGCs and can verify that the 1% is still good there, that'd be great!

The 1% deal on the MCGC's should still be working because that's not necessarily a promo, it's picking up the GC as a debit card and charging the 1% debit card fee instead. I just used one to do an online bill pay through another service and it popped up as "MC Debit" as well. Shame the service charge was the same for debit or credit but I decided to pay a little more for convenience. One of these days I'll hop on the Plastiq wagon (and I'm sure it'll promptly crash at that point, sorry!)

In related news, this was the first time I've voluntarily paid a fee to use a credit card over cash that I can recall. Our water supplier added new payment service and charges a flat $2.25 for each payment made with credit/debit. As long as Dosh pays out the $5 for the MCGC purchase, I'm coming out $2.75 ahead while putting our water bill towards MSR. That sounds like a win and I'm satisfied with it, but the greedy little miser inside me is sulking over the $2.25 richer I could have been

Call me sappy, but I think Wicked is my favorite musical. I'm really excited that I was just able to score discounted group tickets for Hadestown in late June, (paying with cash, not points). I'd like to use UR points for other shows, but nothing else is jumping out as must see this season. Maybe Mean Girls, Be More Chill, or The Prom, but I'll probably go for something that's been out a while.

For us, that was a frustrating part of the movie, they had all these wonderful songs from the stage production, and didn't use any of them in the film. We have seen the stage production a few times (and my dd has been in two productions of it) and it is great.

I'm not calling you sappy, I LOVE it too! I was worried that the 5th time, it might have lost some of it's magic, but it had not. It was still just as wonderful.

Rethinking and requoting my (edited) post b/c I'm considering any biz card options out there at the moment (I'm getting antsy putting non category spend on my FU)
For that CIP I want(need) I'll be 4/24 5/26/19-soooo datewise, when can I refer/app for that? Ideally I want that card before June 5,not sure if that's possible. Helpppp please great experts!
Also, what else should I be looking at when I do CIP for me? I want to make good use of the spot here.(do a biz and personal MSR at once and be 5/24 again)
Any other UR cards I should be aiming for at this moment? Or should I go for a hotel card to add to what I have (possible Hilton Aspire,or WoH for me?) and always need more hotel points too.
Or is it smarter to leave hotels alone and try for a Barclays arrival? (If I do Barcs, I should do CIP first, right?)
I have pretty much what I wanted already in hand, and If I qualified for any Bonvoy cards I'd try for those but I'm out of that field now.
Just trying to find a good MSR I can do asap,or asap after 5/26:Pinkbounc

Since on 5/26 your 4/24....I’d apply for the CIP 6/1...to get the card by 6/5 you probably would have to be instantly approved on the 1st, then call to have the card expedited
If it were me I’d stay at 4/24 and apply for a new Chase business card every 3 months to accumulate URs

I've never seen Wicked, but it's coming to Richmond next year so I've been considering getting me and my mom tickets for it. Of course, I found out the Richmond Ballet is doing Swan Lake next year too, which I'm also going to have to see and I'd like to buy good seats for that.

Is anyone here planning to see Moulin Rouge when it premieres? I LOVE the movie, but I've seen some reviews from when it was in Boston (I think?) that weren't very good.

Moulin Rouge is in previews during the first week of July. I'm tempted, but the tickets are really expensive, and there's no option to purchase with points yet. I really want to find a good use for all of these Chase UR points!

as in modified DD's? And then a possible route for P2 could be Hilton/extra UR's? does that make sense? I'm a little afraid of a DD with biz since it'll be my first foray into Biz for myself(UR at least)

The tickets are sooooo expensive. I was tempted just to pay it and book a quick flight up to NYC for the night and use our Marriott free night there to see it. But I don't want to do all that if the show isn't getting good reviews.

If there was any way I could see it, I would. I didn't love the movie like my DD did, but to see Aaron Tveit would be worth it to me LOL.

@DisneyMandC I am staying there in June (the 14-17th) in a Park Suite Twin (all they had available on points) on a points and cash rate for 3 nights! I'm excited to stay at this iconic hotel!

On another note, dd's horse still hasn't sold :(. I'm bummed as I just bought him in October, he young, fast, graceful, an amazing jumper (she was jumping 4' courses) and very athletic. He was also winning the classes we paid a professional rider to show him in. Plus it sucks paying horse bills every month for something she can no longer participate in. C'mon horse, sell!

Regarding the Amex bonus/referral clawback discussion from over the weekend, looks like I'll be a DP. After using some of our Hilton points to book a hotel in Oxford, MI for the Cal/Ole Miss game, I wanted to top our Hilton balance back up in anticipation of making a reservation for the Hilton Tokyo Bay for our summer 2020 Japan trip (and needing two rooms). I referred myself from my Hilton Aspire to the Hilton Biz card for the 125k SUB on that card plus the 20K referral bonus. I applied on Saturday. Of course, I totally forgot that I had put a fraud alert on my credit report (with all three bureaus) after being notified about a month ago of fraudulent applications being submitted under my SSN with both Capital One and Amex. I was able to verify my identity with Amex on Sat., but the rep thought I already have 5 open credit cards with Amex. I thought he was wrong at the time because I recently closed my SPG Biz but offered to close my no-fee Hilton card. Of course, that department wasn't open over the weekend, so I had to call back this morning. Turns out I was correct that I only had 4 open credit cards with Amex. It took talking to a couple of people to re-verify my identity, etc., but I have now been approved for the Hilton Biz card. I will report back as to whether I receive each of my referral bonus and SUB for this application.

Ok so I’m looking for a card I can use with plastiq that I’d break even or make some with. I really miss the days of cip coding 3x. Thankful to have used the mc no fee this month. But now it’s got me wanting a card to start getting points again for paying bills. I’m under 5/24 and would like to stay that way if possible. Open to business cards. Can’t get any chase cards till June to be on the safe side since last Card was in feb.
