I've also used them 4x. I had a split booked this past March/April and rates were better than general public, but Disney AP rates forced me to cancel the original two reservations. I have 2 more future stays booked just because its better than rack rate. I was afraid of what discounts (or lack thereof) would look like this fall/winter with SWGE so I figured it was best to reserve something. I can always cancel again.
I wonder if the March/April rates were so high for us because I contacted them only about 6 weeks out...For Aug, I contacted them a couple months ago and pretty sure she didn't even quote me BC, even though I asked for that, but everything else was higher than what I'd been seeing through Disney with the last fun & sun offer.

BUT my aunt is booked with them for Thanksgiving week and she has a really great deal on two rooms at Pop. $400 savings on each room over Disney.

PLASTIQ 1.5% PROMO RATE = DEAD :(

https://www.doctorofcredit.com/plastiq-promotion-for-1-5-fee-on-mastercard-payments-1-discount/

Update 11:04pm ET: Plastiq has now clarified with us that the promotion is an official promotion, but only for targeted users in Canada on select payments. It was a system error causing it to work on all Mastercard payments, and that’s now been fixed. Far as I know, whatever payments were sent already are locked in at the lower rate, but I guess we’ll find out.
And I wonder if Plastiq would've figured this out so soon if DoC hadn't posted about it...

I'd assume that this has nothing to do with the 1% deal on those MCGCs (maybe somebody here can verify that?)

EDIT: @Lain - I mentioned this in response to your original comment on the news thread. Bummer for sure!

EDIT2: I verified this is dead myself by initiating a payment just now. If anybody has one of the MCGCs and can verify that the 1% is still good there, that'd be great!

Hmmm could be! I made my original March/April reservation back in October right when the rates first appeared. No excuse for not including the requested resort though. Had you been working with the same person? My person left and I was given someone else that was AWFUL so I sought out a new person and switched.

I think Disney has also been increasing rates more frequently. People on the AP discounts thread were noticing that rates went up right before the newest promo.

Can someone explain to me how to push money from PayPal to my bank acct if trying to use it for a direct deposit? Do I need a different version of PayPal?i just have the old, original PayPal. I have searched 100 times and see nothing on there about transferring. I also see that I need to add money to my balance but I don’t have a balance and don’t know how to go about getting one?

This is a little late, but first you have to link your accounts, assuming you haven't done that yet. You want to link a bank account you will use to fund your paypal account, like your primary checking account. Go to "Wallet", then "link a bank account". Once that is linked, go to the three dots next to "paypal balance" and click "add money". This will now fund your paypal balance. Next, you want to link the bank account you want to push to for the bank bonus. Once that is linked, underneath "paypal balance" you should be able to click "transfer money", and then on the next screen "transfer to your bank". I have had success with this coding as DD. Hope it works for you!

Yeah, same gal. I requested prices back in Feb (or abouts that) and of course, those LD specials come out back in Nov or so. As this agency has gotten more and more popular, it could be that BC was already booked up. She quoted me rates for every resort category and several in each one so I really think she was trying to give me all she could. I think I booked with this agency back in 2014 for the first time, and back then, we were able to get Poly for like $187 and CR for $175 or so. Those were pre-tax. I just checked my quotes for mid-Aug and Poly is $418.50/per night, including tax. Gulp! Big increase!

We used them for our October trip last year. We booked it in March and stayed at BC for $377/night which I thought seemed high for a standard room.

I'd see if you can negotiate for that :) Full price offer + the pin board!
We didn’t pick that house lol. That room had a bunch of ears too. It was pretty cool. That pin board is easily worth hundreds because not many of them were traded pins (were bought instead). The house we like most, the owner owns dvc and has an AP.

I don't think it's that they got bad rates, I think it's when the rates were negotiated Disney didn't realize how summer would play out. I had booked Pop back in Nov with the group/convention rate the Dis/Dreams had for their event in Aug and rebooked at the AP rate because it saved 27. One would tend to think since a group rate is meant to fill rooms that a better rate is given and that an AP rate shouldn't save money. I didn't price anything else since I didn't need tickets. Now since it's not a group rate as long as I can still opt out of housekeeping I'll get another $40 for my 5 nights which I wouldn't have gotten with the group/convention rate, so really I will have hopefully saved 67.

I would imagine @PolyRob booking for the fall will probably end up saving him since most people think there won't be any specials for the fall but we'll see how it goes.

I had previously cited some examples of my experience year over year for the last week of January. They are definitely not getting the rates they used to for some reason.

(Same week, same resorts, same booking timeframe, very less attractive rates in ‘19 vs ‘18). I was very happy in ‘18 and went with Disney’s direct promos in ‘19 lol!

Did a mock payment with mcgc - still at 1%
I did a bunch of recurring mortgage payments on my citi biz, they are still showing the 1.5% so I’ll be interested to see if they claw back those rates!

So why the heck aren't those summer savings reflected in their portal??

You will not be disappointed with Aladdin! Its hard for me to pick a favorite, but between the 3 currently on Broadway, its my top pick. I just saw it for a second time this past weekend. Such a beautiful show! The magic carpet is great!! The only downside is that Abu (and Rajah) aren't "technically" in it.
I’ve heard Frozen was amazing too

Yes! Definitely another great show. I really liked the songs they added and the way the ice and "frozen" scenes were incorporated. I was also excited to see my first Disney production with the original Broadway cast.

Aladdin was just so exciting and vibrant. I think I also liked Aladdin a lot because it was more from my childhood. Something nostalgic. :cloud9:
