At WDW and dd3 is napping so I'm trying to catch up on churning.

I've concluded that I can't do moderate resorts. The travel time with the internal bus loop is unacceptable. (diva) I've resorted to getting off at POFQ and walking to my room at POR...9 mins...shorter than 4 more bus stops. Sigh.
Also, the floorplans are such that your sleeping area is right by the noisy door/walkway outside. It is flip flopped at deluxe so much quieter IMO. And of course at a deluxe you can open your blinds without everyone walking by looking in your room. OK, I admit, I am a hotel princess. Back to deluxe I go in May. I will say the ground are really pretty here. And I'd like to try the Boatwrights place for dinner...shrimp and grits...,yum!

EMM at DHS is probably the best money I've spent at WDW...or possibly 2nd to DAH MK. It is better than EMM MK due to the food. Holy moly the food was amazing. Or maybe I was starving b/c it was 10am and I got up at 6am, but whatever. Amazing. I had shrimp and grits (noticing a pattern here?) and the avocado toast plate. So, so good. It was sooooo hard to get up when that alarm went off though. We had spent the evening prior at MK til 11, so we were worn out! Back to the hotel to rest by noon....after spending an hour waiting for and riding said resort bus to all 5 stops. :headache:

Looks like I haven't missed a lot. I read the latest and greatest on dischurners. Ya'll pray this rain and cold away that is supposed to blow in tonight. It seems to follow me wherever I go.

After our last stay at Poly, we are also never going back to a moderate. Life is just so much easier with kids on the monorail!

Where do you get a bag of duckies and more importantly why did you have a bag of duckies?
i was trying to master the art of quackers.

And follow up @Albort what did the friend think of all the duckies? And do with them?
she laughed her butt off... she took a 3 hour bath that night. i told her no more ducks for her birthday next year...
but i didnt say no more "duck" next year though...

Wow yeah - that strange time period where kids are 10-13 would make that a terrible value and could even turn me to off-site. Our dining plan days are numbered when my older daughter turns 10. There’s no way we’ll justify that expense with the way she eats.

I'd be done with the way I eat. Nevermind it would totally take out any solo trip. I eat breakfast in the room, maybe have lunch but more likely a snack like popcorn and then back to the room. Maybe another snack in the room then dinner at the resort before I go back and then maybe another snack. I do also bring snacks, but I enjoy the popcorn bucket and find it a good value. I also enjoy the pizza at Pop and find it a good value. Now since I'm sure value would be qs only if they let me combine to qs to do one ts I'd be ok with it but we know that will never happen. Nevermind the snacks I'd be swimming in by the end of the week. It's too much food! I also don't see it happening.

How’s your DD loving her DCP experience?

(And more importantly, why hasn’t any DISchurner who’s visited the MK in recent months made it a point to find @disneymagicgirl’s daughter so they can ask, “OMG, are you disneymagicgirl’s daughter?” And ask for a selfie and autograph?!)
She likes working the dessert parties but strongly dislikes Casey's...mostly due to all the after hours clean up I think. When her friends from college post their pics from sorority/fraternity events on social media she gets super upset to be missing it, but then her days off she has a blast playing in the parks with new friends. Give and take. Her mom is throughly enjoying her DCP though. :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

I don't see how that would be possible, they'd lose so many onsite guests. There's no way people pay the inflated prices. Talking about charging for fp's is bad enough this is way worse. The only thing I can think is that the Dis did discuss that the new Star Wars hotel, being an immersive experience, might have food included and be more like a cruise vacation. Let's hope that's what they meant. Otherwise they've gone and totally lost their minds.
Oh that's a good thought. Maybe thats the confusion. I sure hope so too b/c I feel like otherwise it would be over the top and tick off alot of people.

They're always super nice about it. And four isn't bad. I remember when you couldn't combine giving my TA about 50.
Oh no lol. I'll have two more but figured I might as well knock out what I have currently. Actually, maybe I'll do 5, then I'll just have one more with $800 to do next week.

My DS11 eats nothing b/c of his ADHD med and he is a disney "adult" so we just don't do the set price places except on a rare occasion. Next year DS9 will fall into the same category and he orders buttered noodles everywhere he goes. Great. Yep, no buffets for prix fixe anywhere in our near future.

We always get the popcorn bucket too...the purchase that keeps on giving! I order groceries and do cereal or granola bar for breakfast...not to be cheap, but I just can't eat til I've been awake for a couple hours. I do the refillable mug for coffee. This time I ordered Publix chicken fingers with my groceries so we had those for late dinner last night in the room. I agree, we probably buy 1 meal a day and if it is just me with one of my daughters, we usually just share it.

Vyvanse? My BFF is on it for BED. That stuff can really cut the appetite fast.

I'll order the kids meal sometimes or have a hot fudge sundae for a meal...

Has it already been shared that there are new resort mugs and popcorn buckets? I don't frequent the other subforums much these days, so I was excited to see I wouldn't be taking home the same one I already have 6 of in different colors.

Yes to the mugs, Mickey and Pixar. I've seen them on fb, twitter and on the resort board. Not sure about the buckets, would depend on what they are. I've seen the new all parks one or something maybe. Whatever it was I didn't like it. I'm hoping the mugs are still there in Aug or they have different ones along with a different popcorn bucket :)

The popcorn bucket is party themed...I assume to celebrate Mickey’s 90th. It’s cute. I saw a Mickey balloon inspired one at MK too, but I don’t know if that’s new news or not. We just started with the popcorn thing about a year ago.

My family felt led to this popcorn bucket:

Every time I got a refill I told them that Sulley was hungry!
