Exciting news! I have a Citi biz mailer! :banana:My mom and step dad have had several Citi AA cards and since they have a legit biz I thought she might get mailers so I asked her about it last week. She said yeah, she gets them and would let me know next time she got one. Well yesterday she got one and sent it to me!!! I do feel kind of bad because she said she had thought about going for the offer (she has a personal but was denied for the biz for some reason last time), but I told her if she used it then the mailers would likely stop being sent, and I offered to pay her for it, which she refused. I'm actually trying to talk her into a CIP but so far she's not ready for that.

Anyways, the Citi AA biz is 65k pts after spending $4k in the first 4 months, and it expires 4/30. I SM'd Citi Tues night to close my current account, so not sure how long until that actually happens. Also, not sure if I should wait a certain amount of time to apply for the new card? I don't have my ss handy but it's been probably 6 months since I received that card.

I gave you a heart and retweeted. Anything else we should do?
:scratchin Pray that Chase or Disney actually listen, LOL!

(I fully acknowledge that the odds of my continued twitter campaign succeeding are infinitesimal at best...but I will keep trying. There are worse things I could do with my time online! Perhaps if different employees are logging this feedback on the Chase side they won't realize it's coming from the same people over and over again and they'll say "wow this is a significant issue")...

Squeaky wheel gets the grease...

You just never know what can happen and I admire your efforts!

Yes, but they charge you a fee.

Well I guess I won't be using that offer then... Thanks for letting me know.

I saw you over on the 2020 watch thread. I'm interested in Greece and Norway. So I just saw the cost prediction thread for Greece... and people are saying $16k for 2 adults in a balcony. That is just straight up bonkers to me. I know I'm cheap, but good gravy how do people afford this stuff? At least if you sink $16k into DVC you get decades out of it!

:wave2: I was pretty upset at first, since they kind of killed the N/I/S cruise and messed up the 10nt Baltic I wanted to book. But I'm going to take the weekend to research our options and those new ports and then decide what to do. DCL in Europe is expensive, especially in the early summer. I will tell you that that is more than we paid for a 10nt NIS last year, with a balcony, booked in the fall (gasp) so nowhere near opening day. Oh, and my cruise was for 3 adults in a 5A. I was hoping for a Venice > Croatia > Greece cruise and they disappointed me on that front. I'd sail with Viking in a heartbeat if they didn't make it impossible for us to let DD join us if her schedule permits.

I don't see any nonstop Venice fares on American, I think it's seasonal. You'd think they'd have them in the spring!

When we went to Italy in March (albeit a few years ago) AA told me that the direct flights were seasonal. We had to fly into the UK and switch planes. It was right before Easter, too, and to Rome, and yes I would have thought there would be direct flights.

Can I get some “hearts” on twitter..(as Wreck It Ralph would say).

Not sure this would do anything but I’d love to actually get somebody’s ear on the issue.

EDIT: forgot the link:

I did the <3 thing and then retweeted. Still haven't figured out how to be successful on Twitter, but maybe they will notice.

I got an offer for spend $250 get $50 back at the Woodside Hotel Group. California based.

I got that one, too, and grabbed it just in case, although I doubt I can use it.

I remember you posting that. I think that's really silly.
It’s apparently to cover the “shipping cost” for them to get it from another library. I wouldn’t mind if it was like $0.25 but $2? I can probably find the book for sale somewhere for that

So I am allowed to book VCE-PHL now for an April 2020 flight?

No. To clarify, I was saying that I checked April 2019 since April 2020 can't be booked yet:

I wondered if it was seasonal too, but I saw a nonstop VCE-PHL last night in mid-April 2019 (since you can't check out April 2020 yet). Trouble is, it was a mid-week flight, and I don't know if your dates are fixed or flexible. Like I said before, the availability changes all the time. Best case scenario I can figure for you is if you can convince your DH to allow one layover on the way back, and you find an acceptable routing from VCE-PHL using miles. If you book that award flight, you can change the date/times/route/carrier for no penalty (within 1 yr of booking) - AA allows changes as long as the origin & destination remain the same. Then you can check back frequently and if your desired VCE-PHL nonstop becomes available, get on the phone and make the change asap.

ETA: I'm sorry, it appears that AA's change policy has changed since I booked awards in 2017. Here's a link to their policies. Of note, if your change involves flying on a different airline partner on a MileSAAver award there is a $150 fee for the change (not sure if that is per PNR or per pax because it doesn't say). I will go back and edit my post.

Can you do a modified double dip for your last chase spot? When I broke our 5/24 I got the CSP and Arrival+ on the same day. Then I got the Hyatt the day after.
I could. There just aren’t really any other Chase cards out there I want. And I’m not sure I want to burn a spot in case I want to go back under 5/24 in a year or so.... but something to think about for sure!!!
