I just got my CIU in the mail, except.. it's a CIC?? They appear to have printed it on the wrong cardstock!? All the information with it clearly says Chase Ink Unlimited. Further perplexing me, when I go to verify it I am told there are no new cards for me to verify on my business account and the CIU is not there. I sent an SM asking what's up with all this.

I’m pretty sure you have it right. I’ve never done it so I don’t know for a fact but I think they just have to be linked in your friends and family
Well then fixing that would certainly free up some FP then. That’s a big loop hole. I just haven’t ever traveled with others or stayed offsite so I didn’t know about it. I’m sure plenty of people do though.

Does anyone know the prioritypass rules? DH has been stuck in Denver all day. He went to Timberline this morning when he thought he had 30 minutes to make his next connection. Can he get food again today? I think he is there for 2 more hours. I am thinking someone once did same restaurant 2 hours apart? Is this still true?
Hmm, I wish I knew but I don't. You would think in a delay you would be able to eat again but it would probably be worth a call to Chase or ask at Timberline. They have always seemed very knowledgeable there about the PP rules.

lol, I'd like to go along with this theory but they gave me $20,000. I put business revenue of $1500 :confused3

@Calfan I hope your dad has a speedy recovery, so scary.

@AmyAnne sorry to here your AKV offer was taken in ROFR. Not sure if you mentioned this or not but will you be trying for another?

ETA: oh wait, @wendow, I didn't apply for Barclay's yet, mine was Citi. So this could be an actual theory, hmmmmm
Female here, $3,000 biz income, $14,000 credit line..lol

You can go every two hours! Send him back! I've had them tell us that at Timberline before, just never had a reason to do it.

We were hoping for Southwest Hawaii flights to be announced today. Instead, the latest word from CEO Gary Kelly on Southwest Hawaii flights is this. Speaking today to an employee rally in Dallas, he indicated that the company has obtained verbal approval from the FAA for flights to Hawaii, with written approval coming within days. At that point, ticket sales will begin, with flights to follow within just weeks. We still hope and expect to see Southwest Hawaii flights in the air by next month.

Oh, I would be so offended!! Hmm, this seems like maybe a bit sexist against women having their own businesses!?! Wonder how much credit the dudes are getting??

I got a 5 digit CL. I forgot what I put for biz revenue but I generally keep it under 1k (except for AmEx, lots of "projections" for them). Shocked me a little, used to seeing it from the other issuers but I expected them to be more risk adverse since they're smaller. Don't they feel silly now that I've had the card for 4 months and used $10 of it
Perhaps the difference is this is my one and only card from them. Maybe they have a CL ceiling like Chase does to limit risk, so do you have larger limits on your other Barclays cards? I'd send you some of mine if I could, I definitely won't be needing all that. :)

Yes, I do have more on my other cards...one has 12.5k and one has 5k. Which still seems measly compared to what Chase and Amex has given me. I was really teasing about the sexist comment

We can't convince them to use their GE credits they have, and it just has me wondering, how long will this magical precheck benefit last for them? Has anyone had this happen or know of someone with a situation like this? They are kind of determined that now they just magically get it forever...
My parents have been getting magical, free precheck on their flights for years. We have no idea why it started, but once it began it has never stopped. So I don't have much insight how long it will last.

So weird. Why can't we have that luck? Lol

We tried to talk ILs into this last summer, for some reason DH brought it up again and was like, I'll work on them. Alright, good luck.

My one card has a higher limit than both of yours combined. I've had the card 7-10 years, I can't remember when I got it. Back when it was US Air though. I think it's my 2nd oldest card at this point since everything else except for discover got cancelled long ago. I should reduce the CL and if I ever decide to get another barclay card of any variety I will.

I do wonder since I had a Citi card that was closed like 8 or 9 years ago if that would mean anything when I did apply again. I wasn't a bad customer just didn't need the card any more. I know with BofA even though I hadn't had an account with them in a few years they still count back to my first which I find odd.

He did finally go ask. Timberline told him once every 24 hours. :confused3

Not sure how old your ILs are but I’m pretty sure the random free prechecks have to do with a persons age..my boss in her 70s always gets it.....DH and I 50/60s got it 99% of the time before we paid for it....My son, daughter and her husband 20s and 30 never
