Good news! Got approved for the CIP, should have the card in a week or two (probably by the end of this week if past experience with Chase is anything to go on).
:cool1::bounce::cool1::banana::cool1:

Congratulations!

So far they're on track for me. I got approved for the SW Biz last Monday and I see a card envelope in my informed delivery today, which is typical for us.

If you’re ready to start spending on the CIP, just give Chase a call at 1-800-945-2028 (the CIP’s customer service number) to ask they expedite your new card.

Saw the Marriott commercial finally (there's a link on DoC)

Rewards Reimagined.

Got that right. Unfortunately it was by someone a little sick and twisted so it's not necessarily something I'd want to advertise.

And no, that will never happen Marriott, you are not Dilly Dilly.

All that credit score talk had me wondering. I used Credit Karma, Chase Journey and whatever is in Capital one. Is there somewhere else more official I should be checking?

Travel card insurance question for you experts:
Just left Disney and had a layover in Nashville before going on to Philly. I paid for flights with Southwest points (except for the $5.60 fees).
So far we are delayed an hour but was warned that due to high winds at PHL we may be delayed longer.
If I was stuck here, would putting anything on my CIP or CSP be covered? Just checking just in case.

As the wind whipped around the house and I thought I was losing my roof, I remembered your post. Yes, the winds around PHL are no joke today. Last night it blew my phone right out of my hand and skipped it along the sidewalk like it was a piece of paper. Cars have been blown out of lanes with sudden gusts. I just can't imagine having to fly in today. I hope it goes well for you when you finally take off!

But as @EACarlson mentioned it'll depend on what card it was you paid the fees with, not what card you use to make the purchases today. That card's insurance is what could cover the extra expenses you incur due to this delay. Wishing safe travels for all out there today!

Back from a week away in PR and catching up with all your posts - the news section on reddit is soooo helpful in making sure I didn't miss any big announcements. Genius idea. :worship:

All the AA talk over the last few pages gave me itchy trigger finger......sooooo applied and instantly approved for AAviator Biz. (Don't tell @wendow ) :P

ETA: Oops - bad timing for hiding my post from @wendow

Credit Karma and Chase Journey use the VantageScore model. I don't know about CapOne. You would want to check somewhere that is using one of the FICO models. Discover uses FICO 8. I believe people have said the free Experian monitoring service also gives your credit score and that would be a FICO as well.

While the creator of the VantageScore model boasts about larger adoption, the majority of institutions are still using FICO as their basis. They have differing weighting on some of the same factors so your score can be markedly different, even though they changed it and both are using the same score ranges (I think both top out at 850 now).

Congrats to you! I am happy you got approved!
