When they "lost" my son's gear they gave him a $50 credit right away it seems. The bags made it to him before his next flight the next morning, they had been on his previously booked flight. He had switched flights due to delay and was required (Army) to be at his destination by a certain time. His bags hadn't switched flights with him so really we just needed to wait for them to catch up with him, but they seemed easy to work with from my point of view which was via text from my son lol

I’m waiting for now because they said they thought they would for sure get the bags tomorrow. Hopefully they knew what they were talking about

Usually they find them, so I wouldn't get too worried at this point, although I know it's a pain. I'm sorry this happened. It took AA 3 days to get DD's luggage to her (and she really didn't have much with her since she was moving back into the dorm), and they finally coughed up $150 voucher. Yeah, not much, but much better than anything we've received in the past.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts on costco, just rebooked the car rentals and taking the membership fee into account, still saved almost $100 and was able to get an SUV vs. a standard car on the first rental. Hopefully, I'll be able to get tires, but planning now to wait until later this year...hoping for a chase freedom 5% on warehouse in the fall... Costco really isn't convenient and given my P1 status I won't be buying in bulk anytime soon.

SW lost my mom's bags on her last flight out to visit us. I think that was this past fall. SW found her bag about 24 hours later and delivered it to our house. I am pretty sure they did not compensate her in any way but I also know she would not have asked.

My teens were excited about Maroon 5 but less than impressed at this point with the show. Of course, we are clueless who these others are.

I was glad they did 3 songs from their first album and moves like jagger was fine but that's where you learn how much adam is autotuned and can't sing live that well. But he could have kept his shirt on. The rest of it was just bad.

I'd be way more inclined to ask if it was at the start of my vacation because that's a huge inconvenience than if they find it and bring it to my house after I've returned. It's part of why I like flying Delta because you can track your bag in the app so I always look to make sure it's on the plane before we leave

My mom was at the beginning of her trip, and we did go buy several toiletry items that she needed immediately. I'm sure she could have asked for compensation but in the end, it was a minor inconvenience.

Wait! Did that (upgraded to CSR) CSP get opened in January? If so, that fits with them refunding you $71 in October (equals 9 months of $95 AF). If you haven't canceled the CSR yet, my theory (still just a theory but is supported by dps I'm seeing) is that if instead of canceling, if you downgrade to CSP you'll see a refund of the $525 AF and not see the $95AF until Feb 2020. If you can use the reset $300 travel credit before downgrading then you'd be getting that for free. Still just a theory, so no guarantees from me.

No it was originally opened 5/2017. I’m not canceling the CSR right now, but will cancel the AU Card.

I'm not sure which is worse, him now with all the tattoos (I don't have a problem with them, I have 2, but he's got more than I find attractive) or back before all the tattoos when he was the skinny pasty guy. At least now he doesn't look as pasty haha. Plus on any given day it seems to only be 2-4 of the original members though the original drummer can't drum any more due to a shoulder injury.

I know Citi gets a lot scrutiny, but I have to say I am very happy to have the 24-month extended warranty for a purchase from 2015!

My MacBook's battery started swelling to the point where the aluminum case started to warp. I just brought it to the Apple store and it is being sent out for repair. I called Citi and opened up an extended warranty claim and it should cover the repair (waiting for the final cost if any internal damage is found). I had the AppleCare extended warranty, but it expired in the summer so I am just at the start of my 24-month period. I was going to put the charge on the CIP for the MSR, but now that Citi will reimburse it, its definitely going on the old card I purchased the computer with!

I was also paranoid to be without my CC spreadsheet to track my CIP for the next week or two while my MacBook is under repair. Dusted off my older model and opened the backup file and extracted my CC spreadsheet. I am back in business!

Welcome to the thread! Everyone here is super friendly and helpful.
For the business, you can call that a “start up” with estimated revenue. You can apply for biz cards as a sole proprietor and use your name as the business name. Even if you have a legit registered business name, it’s usually easier to just use your name. People here with legit businesses are often given a harder time with approvals for biz cards than those who don’t.
Most people start with Chase cards because they are pretty lucrative and have some of the highest bonuses. Chase has a number of cards that earn URs (Ultimate Rewards) which can be used to transfer to some airlines or hotels, book thru the Chase travel portal, or use as a statement credit for cash.

DH's Companion Pass finally came through this morning! Feels like we've been waiting forever. Started process in early November with business card, did personal card via the "in air" link that was circulating here in mid-December and then did most of the spend in early January. For both cards he wasn't auto approved so they took a while to clear. Thankfully no recon calls required.

During the Super Bowl half time who I was able to add our son (DH's companion) to our existing trips for $650 of free affaire. And thanks to Amex travel credit SWA gift cards ($400) and the $75 travel credit on the rapid rewards card, we booked our trip to Vegas $504 for $30. So my out of pockets today for $1150 of airfare were about $40. Thank you travel hacking!

I'm very glad to be home. My plan was to be on my couch by halftime and we made it with plenty of time to spare. I was watching the game on my phone in the car anyway. I can't believe how lousy this game is - just bad, bad, bad. Halftime show wasn't good either imo.

We ate SO MUCH on our cruise. We are starting diets tomorrow. I legit feel like I need to detox it's so bad. Yuck.

I booked a placeholder while onboard. No clue when we will use it or where we will go - would like to try the new ship coming in 2021 but we'll see.

I got my mail - nothing from Amex or Chase 1099 wise. We should get something from Chase.

Ahh that is great! I need to look into Swagbucks. I am sad I do not have an Amex (mainly because of all these great deals!), but I am scared and not sure where to start with all the bonus denials. The original idea was to go with a BBP. I guess no bonus shouldn't make Amex too upset. I also contemplate going for the best bonus to ensure I at least get that since it would be my first Amex.

Swagbucks is great for easy money. Even better when there are deals you can use.

We feel the exact same about eating. We just got home from wdw today and Dh and I feel like we ate so much junk. We did 3 dah so had lots of ice cream, pop, and popcorn.
