My favorite type of food is breakfast. Love it...kids will eat breakfast food pretty well too.

Im thinking about CP and Kona Cafe. Any experience or other ideas?

CP is an awesome choice here for what you are looking for.

CP and Kona are great. The kids will love CP. We tried Tusker House for the first time this past trip and really enjoyed that as well. Another buffet character breakfast with Donald, Mickey, Goofy, and I forget who else. My kids loved this one too. Something to consider if you're going to Animal Kingdom. Have a great trip!

Kona is great, but let me also suggest Olivia's and the buffet at Boma.

I had the best breakfast this year @ TuskerHouse, even my picky DH enjoyed himself there, kids were very happy there too.

Grand Floridian Cafe has our favorite breakfast, followed by Kona, and Boma for a buffet.

In my opinion, the best breakfasts on Disney property are at Kona Cafe. The Tusker House buffet is good, but not as good as the options at Kona.

'Ohana's character breakfast is good too, and fun for kids. But the entire time we were there, I was wishing we were 50 yards away at Kona Cafe instead.

I have looked at Kona's menu and really want to try the French Toast. DH doesnt really like breakfast food so the prices there would probably be better for him than some other options & I think he'd like the steak and eggs. What is the best thing you've had there?

We had breakfast at The Wave and it was instantly my new favorite spot for breakfast. Everything was delicious, but I'm still dreaming about the sweet potato pancakes...and they have REAL coffee. Yum! Love Kona, too.

Breakfast is my absolute favorite meal of the day as well! Looking forward to trying 1900 Park Fare this trip and Fresh at the WDW Dolphin as suggested by others here on the board. Fresh looks like an awesome breakfast buffet and is definitely cheaper than breakfast elsewhere in Disney! Enjoy :goodvibes

I have to start by telling you my wife's favorite breakfast food there, because it might be her favorite meal anywhere: Tonga Toast. I don't like bananas, so the Tonga Toast isn't for me. But if you like them, my wife insists there's no better breakfast.

Honestly, I've had most of the rest of the menu, and it was all outstanding. I'm the kind of person who usually sticks to a favorite two or three dishes, but I almost always try something new at Kona because it's all so excellent.

I love bananas. When I was pregnant with my last DD I used to eat banana sandwiches at work and believe me a lot of people thought that was very odd. I really want to try the Tonga Toast...

Wolfgang Puck Express in downtown Disney~ It is to die for! I have eaten almost everything on the menu and it so rich, flavorful on the palette!

One of the few things DH and I agree on when it comes to restaurants at WDW, is that Boma has the best breakfast.

1) Boma (buffet)
2) Kona (get the press pot coffee!)
3) Grand Floridian Cafe
4) Tusker House (buffet)

I also love breakfast. While the Crystal Palace buffet is also quite nice - it's all "normal" food - not really anything interesting or different for breakfast lovers. The characters here do a great job if you want that component.

If you go to Boma - I'd suggest making sure you include time to look at the savanna at AKL. Make sure you ask where the best viewing is at the time you are there because sometimes they are by the pool vs. by the main lobby. And don't fill up on their awesome juice - there are too many other things to try! Don't be afraid to try the African-inspired dishes - you can always leave them on your plate if you don't like it!

If you want quiet - Grand Floridian. If you want noisy with characters - Tusker House.

Tonga toast - Kona. Otherwise, honestly, it would not be on my list as it's not super interesting.
