I lost my DING icon - can you help?

Yesterday the icon was there with an exclamation which mean't error, but I was able to open up the DING through the application window and still can - but my DING icon in the system tray is now gone.

Can I get that back? Do I have to uninstall and reinstall? I like having the icon there with the update notification.

The same thing has happened to me several times and I've never figured out why. So far, I've been able to just restart my computer and Ding would be back again. Computers!

Not neccessary to uninstall and reinstall. Just go to your start menu and find Ding. You can open (and restore) it from there without having to restart your computer.

Hi,

Thank you both, I tried what both of you suggested to no avail.

I just deleted and reinstalled it within 2 minutes and got the icon back and it's working just fine.

Old thread, but I'm having the same issue on my Windows 2000 machine at work.
When I bring up task manager and look at the processes, Ding is there and I can bring it up from the start menu, but it's not showing up in my system tray.
I guess I'll try reinstalling, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had issues like this. It could be something about the corporate policies preventing it from displaying in the system tray, but I don't know.
