I cant find this, although Im sure it's here somewhere!!!
We'll be checking out of the Poly and taking a Southwest flight that is at 12pm. When can we check our bags with the resort? Also, will they check us in for the flight? 2 in our party are on southwest and 2 are on Airtran. So we'll be checking the bags on SW since its free.... but can we all check in at the resort? What time can all of this take place, and one last question... what time will ME pick up be for a 12pm flight? Thank you so much!!!

Bags going on the SW flights will have to be schlepped on the DME bus, while the AirTran bags can be checked at the resort. Also, SW flyers will need to check in on line or at the airport, while the Airtran folks can get their boarding cards at the resort. This is bcs SW does not participate in that end of DME, while Airtran does; but all of your can ride the DME bus.

As for timing, expect a DME pickup time at your resort of 3 hours before the flight, so 9 o'clock in your case.

Enjoy!

I thought for sure that Southwest is now a fully participating part of the end part.:confused3 Everything I have been reading says that they are.

Yes. SWA passengers can now use RAC to check bags and get boarding passes at all WDW resorts.

The RAC desk is open at 5:00 a.m. and for a noon flight you can check your bags starting then, but must have the process completed (not just be standing in line) no later than 9:00 a.m. Coincidentally, your DME pick-up time will be about 9:00 a.m. too and you should be at the pick-up location 10-15 minutes before that.

As for checking in on SWA, I would recommend using EBCI or arranging on your own to do it at the 24-hour mark. There are some who appear to have been checked in by DME and/or RAC at the 24-hour mark automatically, but I have seen no evidence that this process is consistent enough that I would rely on it. Sure, RAC will check you in at 5:00 a.m. on your departure day, but that will be 17 hours after the 24-hour mark and likely will result in high boarding numbers.

As noted in my PP, this is outdated and incorrect information. SWA is now fully participating in RAC.
