I only have visited disney every 4 to 6 years. We have a trip coming up the first week of February. I am going with my family and I am a single 30 yo male. I looooove the new fastpass plus mostly due to the fact I never went and got paper fast passes when I did go. When I am on vacation I personally don't want to run to a park and get tickets early in the morning. I want to relax and not feel like I've missed out on something because I wasn't fast enough or didn't get up early enough.

I realize not everyone feels this way and may feel betrayed by disney for stealing something they enjoyed. But the system was abused and often times you could get multiple runs for the same ride. This new system allows everyone to enjoy a shorter line instead of just the few that would rush to the FP kiosk. Sure you only get 3 but hey not everyone can have everything all of the time. Remember this is not just your vacation but many other people.

I also think new technology has growing pains but I trust disney to implement this system intelligently and with regard to the customers. They have a great track record and if something upsets you give it time and be patient.

Furthermore I wonder how much of an issue this all will be considering the technology literate people of the world are ever growing. Perhaps these issues arnt just that it's new but that it's harder to learn?

Lastly I must say you don't have to use this. You can decline it's existence and just get in line like you use to. Maybe they will be shorter with FP+ around too. Disney isn't forcing you to use FP+ or MDE if you don't want to! Just use the phone or talk to guest services to let them set stuff up for you. Don't cancel your vacation just decline to use it till you feel like it's acceptable to you. This is the future it's cool and scary but like smartphones and pc's innovation can be wonderful! Especially with disney at the helm!

When an OP reads like a lecture, it's funny but I'm not that inclined to listen.
