I let Teagan fall off the changing table today...

:grouphug: You're not the first to have it happen...... don't be so hard on yourself.

When my dd was a baby, I was so bleary eyed from her not sleeping that I misjudged the doorway and smacked her poor head into the frame, she cried for a second, I cried for a day. We all do it, it will be okay.

When my DS7 was only a few months old, he was lying on my bed while I was getting clothes on and he rolled right off! I didn't even know he could roll like that yet. He hit the floor with a thump before I could get to him. I was hysterical but he didn't even cry!! This happens to most all parents at one time or another - thank goodness babies have a reseliance (sp?) that is much better than we all think. Accidents happen - it's ok! :)

When I was a young teenager I was baby sitting a neighbor child (who was aorund the age my youngest is now, just under a year.) and she fell off the chaning table. I was sure I had scared this child for life. She is now out of college and getting married (ok I feel sooooo old right now.) So I guess she is fine (did well in school too.) What a relief! ;)

Now the baby rolled off the bed while at PORS in May, I was more upset then she was.

Just yesterday she rolled off our bed on the floor and I even had my hand on her when it happened. However due to a delivery mix up our bed is currently a king size matteres and box springs on the floor, so it wasn't too far of a drop.

Her DS (4 years old) falls out of bed nightly and so she sleeps on a matteress on the floor. We plan to get her a bed frame next week, I hope she stays in.

Don't worry we all have days where we get the "bad mommy award", but it doesn't make us bad parents, just some moments are better then others. :grouphug:

My DH looked away while he was changing our then 5 month old. She fell off the changing table and hit her head on the wooden stool our older kids used to stand on to see the baby. Needless to say, she had her first ER visit and they didn't even x-ray her. They just gave her some Motrin and sent us home. She is our 4th kid so you'd have thought we had it down by now but accident happen and luckily babies aren't as "breakable" as we think. THANK GOD!! What better excuse for some baby snuggles today. Take care. Amy :flower:

I once read somewhere that you weren't officially a parent until you did this at least once with each kid :flower:
