I "lasted" less than 24 hours on the wait list

Well, I have no patience!!! Anyway, after analyzing our point situation for next year, we would have 62 reservation points left for next year. We aren't going to get down to WDW before those points expire, except after our cruise. I just wanted to go home after our cruise and not run to WDW for one night to use the points, so we decided to book Poly Concierge on points. In reality, it's only costing me the reservations points(which I probably would have lost), plus the 60 points I was going to use for the waitlist. I know not the best use of points, but a better use than using ALL the points to book my Nov cruise. So, I'm all set and don't have to wait for the waitlist anymore. I'm happy with the decision, and maybe I'll have more patience next time I try the waitlist!!!

DVC is about flexibility in the use of your pts - thats one of - IMHO - its greatest features. Just because a ressie is not the most point conservative - doesn't make it "bad". I have seen so many posts where folks try to justify the use of their points on WDW resorts - Heck prior to joining DVC I could not have even entertained the idea of staying at one of the high end resorts - now its always available to us if we choose to stay there - and thats a wonderful feeling.
