:scared: Midwest Airlines just announced they're cutting back their flights and as a result, have bumped the IL's and DS to an earlier flight, arriving in Orlando at 10:35 AM. We figure they'll be to the resort by noon. DH and I will already be there and will be meeting them at VWL after moving from CR.

Not only does that make a brutally early morning for DS 2 1/2 (flight out of Kansas City at 7 AM), he will be SO ready for a nap by the time they arrive. So....it's making me stress about a room being ready.

I KNOW it's not supposed to be until after 4 but man, do I need some pixie dust here! DH and I have a Chef Mickey's ADR for 9:30 and we'll be scooting over to VWL to check in early...hoping to increase our chances of finding something ready!

We've always had good luck before, usually always in a room before 2 PM but this trip could be a little different. Give us some magic! If we don't get it, you might be seeing a little guy sacked out on a couch in the Carolwood Pacific Room with his blanket!

Not sure I would call a 11am check-in "early." ;)

If it's that important to you, I'd check-in at VWL before breakfast. Grab a cab if you need to and check-in around 8am. Let the front desk know that getting into ANY room is more important than whatever requests are noted on your reservation (beggars can't be choosers!)

If you can't get a room early, just make the best of it. We started taking both of our kids around 18mos. Those Disney strollers are great for sleeping!

Good luck!

Here's the best I can do!

Since our luck has varied between having a room ready for us to move in to at 9:00 am and being forced to wait until after 4:00 to check in on another stay, I guess all I can say is I wish you the best of luck and hope for the best:goodvibes

Ditto... DVC... Commando style.... Go for it ... get it....

Can't give any advice, but I feel for you. I live in Kansas City, MO and had the same thing happen to me in December by Midwest Airlines. Wishing you luck!

If you can't get into your room at VWL as early as you need, you might be able to take your son to the Iron Spike Room (or is it the Carolwood Train room??) and sit in a big old rocking chair with him to take a short rest. There is a checker table there, so the grandparents could play a game of checkers while they are resting.

It's a very quiet room, much quieter than the main lobby at the WL.

I have twins that age and I know if they had a 7am flight (which meant getting up hours earlier) they would fall asleep on the plane. And if not on the plane, then on ME for sure. They could never make it from 4 or 5 am until noon!

I don't know how you feel about it, but I bet he'll arrive at VWL asleep or having already napped.
