It is a snow day, DH is out of town and I am in charge of making WDW dining reservations for our upcoming trip. DH and I are taking a quick, spur of the moment, inexpensive trip to WDW late April for our anniversary. We have FF miles, DVC points to use and left over park hoppers so all we have to buy is food. We decided to give the dining plan a try. We have been very lucky to have been in WDW many, many times and will be back again, so if the Dining plan isn;t for us, we will not be too disappointed.

So my plan so far is this:

April 25-Friday-check into OKW approx, 2pm
Depending on how we feel, we will either grab a counter service at OKW, lay by the pool then have dinner or head into a park. I thought I would try for O'Hanas or Spoodles (I would love opinions!!) I want to keep it out of a park in case we just hang out instead that day.

Saturday April 26 (anniversary date) I wanted to try for Canada for dinner. We ate there once and really enjoyed it. But I need a back up plan in case it is full already.

Sunday April 27-now I am stuck on where to go. I thought about France because we always walk by it and say we would like to try that some day. But I need back up plans. Maybe try for Coral Reef????

Monday-fly home

I am SO undecided. We usually just wing it, but I wanted to get in a few good table service places this time.

I would LOVE to hear any opinions or suggestions. I don't think we want to combine our table service for a signature meal, unless there is something we just should not pass up.

Thanks,
Karen

I moved this to the Restaurant board where you'll get the answers you're looking for. Have fun planning!!! :goodvibes

First off........get on the phone and ask what is available for those dates. I am afraid that you are going to find alot of options already booked.......maybe early reservations too.......anyways.....if you cant do Le Cellier, France, or Rose and Crown. That is if you are going to stay at Epcot for that time. Crystal Palace for dinner is a good buffet too. How about AKL and going to Jikos, or Boma for the buffet...but I think calling and asking is a start. Happy Early Anniversary to you both.......

I would recommend Ohana's. We went in september and i was a little skeptical because my husband is not an adventurous eater, but we were both really impressed. The food and the atmosphere were great!! our two sons 2 & 4 loved the food as well. The dipping sauces were fantastic!! hope this helps.

Thanks for the move-I ended up calling this morning and here is what I got:

Friday 8pm Ohana
Saturday 8pm France
Sunday 5pm Yak and Yeti

I could not get Canada for dinner, only lunch so I originally had Spoodles for Sunday at 8. I started thinking about it and I really hated to leave the parks to eat our last night there, so I changed it to Yak and Yeti. Just something new and different and hopefully worth giving it a try.

Then we can head to Everest and ride it a few times on a full stomach ;) ;)

For counter service will will just wait and see where we are at lunch time.
