I would never try to change my tag. Too many stories of the whole thing being lost. Have you considered asking this question on the tech board, I've heard that the tag fairies gather there at dusk

Yeah, I changed part of my tag once and lost the 2 the fairies gave me. They then gave me more and when I had to change the tag again(I was "hoping to go" and it had to be changed after I went, LOL!) I lost the new tags. So for now, Im just a boring Dis Vet...until someone decides Im deserving of a new tag.

It is true, if you try to change your tag you will lose it. I too have heard rumors that they gather at dusk on the tech board so if they don't see your request here, they might see it there
