Yesterday, I self cleaned my electric range, but accidentally left a pan (aluminum jelly roll pan) in the oven while it was cleaning. It came out shining!! There were some stains on it that I could not get out with steel wool pads which evaporated in the cleaning cycle.
I am now tempted to do this to all my cookie sheets and cake pans, but it seems too easy. Anyone know of a good reason I shouldn't do this (besides the fact that nothing in housekeeping should be easy)?
