I know other brands are cheaper, but I MUST HAVE _________!

I forgot the Hebrew National hotdogs. Yes, only those.

And on the yogurt thing; I was surprised at how much sugar even the plain, non fat yogurt has. I never thought of that being sweet. I hate artificial sweetners though. I wish some brand would have a "lite" version that just had less sugar. Not unsweetened, but just not so sickly sweet.

I have so many, it's sick. But to sum it up...

ziplock (one and only....its the ONLY thing that keeps things fresh in the freezer for a long period of time!)
Franks hot sauce
Cattlemans BBQ sauce
Cat food (I joke that my cats eat better than me!)
Secret Deoderant
Colgate
Salon Shampoo and Conditioner (sensitive to cheaper stuff, but I get wholesale)
Charmin or Royale TP and Kleenex
Pasta from the Italian Market...yep - beats any store bought crap
Kunis mustard
Barqs Root beer (I will defend this one to my grave!)
Miracle Whip
Make - up from Sephora (no Maybelline for me....my face deserves healthier make-up!)
Organic facial cleansers and lotions (from Sephora again...Oil of Olay is SO bad!)
Natural soaps from Rocky Mountain Soap company
Kraft peanut butter
Wine and Beer (we are worldly with these...we don't drink Bud, Coors...its more imported beer....ales from the UK - YUMMY!)
Aleve
Crew for men for my hubby (Shampoo/Conditioner/hair goo, etc.)
Kraft cheese slices

I think thats it, but I know there are so many more.

Good thread!

Twinings for everyday tea
All detergent
Coke Zero
Mott's applesauce
Dole canned pineapple
Jiff peanut butter
Kraft ranch dressing
Heinz ketchup
French's mustard
Marzetti slaw dressing

Wow, this is just off the top of my head!

Tampax Pearl tampons and the fresh salsa in the produce department. Nothing else will do.

Diet Coke, Tide, Tampax, Sure deoderant, Brawny paper towels, Boars Head lunchmeat, Breyers natural vanilla ice cream, Advil, Duracel

totally not trying to start a debate - to each his own, and all that good stuff - but i am very surprised to read how many people are brand loyal to yoplait yogurt. Is there a reason for it, or is it just an advertising habit?

Have you ever read the ingredient list/nutrition label on one of those suckers???

Main ingredient (after the milk, of course) is high fructose corn syrup, and even if that doesn't bother you, its got added sugars to boot!! The sugars in yoplait are outrageously high. Granted you can buy the diet version of yoplait, but then you have to contend with the artificial sweetners.

There are many other yogurts on the market that are sweetened with all natural sugars and/or all-natural fruit bases. The sugar content still may be higher than our hips would like it to be, but at least its all natural!

taste!!

Starbucks Sumatra coffee
Ziplock bags
Anything related to my dogs, such as quality dog food (Merric before grain) a good vet and groomer.
I will carry a cheap handbag but the dogs get the best stuff I can find. :lmao:

Oreos
Nestle Chocolate Chips (Please don't eat all the morsels...)
Cokes (DH buys Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi, whatever is one sale. Not me. I want real Coke)

Pampers daipers
Charmin toilet paper
Neutrogena shampoo and conditioner
good quality organic food (that is the biggest budget breaker in our house and I can't even always get what we want!)

Tampax Tampons
Hanna Andersson underwear for dd - its a sensory thing
Hanna Andersson shorts for dd - last forever and show no wear
Lands End Coats for dd- last forever and show no wear
Rockport Shoes for dh- if he buys anything else he is complaining within a week
Breeze litter box system for our 2 cats
Crocs- fake ones hurt my feet

Pantene - conditioner

Can't really think of anything else I am 100% brand loyal to.

Without going too TMI - I am surprised that so many people are brand loyal to tampons..... I just buy the store brand unless I can get a coupon/sale deal on the name brand....
I am a purse snob, though..... all of mine or Coach or Kate Spade..... I am getting a D&B Mickey purse in WDW in March.

If you ever get a lousy store brand you'll know why!

Morrocan Oil. No Knock offs will do.
Also Tom's deoderant is the only one I'm not allergic to.

Tide. My clothes just aren't clean unless they smell like Original Scent Powder Tide. :upsidedow

Isn't that weird how the liquid and the powder are totally different scents? I agree that the powder smells sooo good!

We use a lot of Pantene shampoo, too. Mostly due to coupons. Which is probably also what got people to try (and become loyal to) "namebrand" tampons...is there such a thing?! LOL...if they are on sale and you combine with a coupon they will be less than the store brand. And store brands rarely go on sale and even more rarely, if ever, have coupons.

Yup, the ingredient list stinks. The reason I buy them, and this sounds weird, is that I like the texture of their vanilla Thick and Creamy. The one in the yellow container. My mom used to buy it for me because, way back when, it was about the only non-lowfat one she could find (and I needed the calories.) It's purely nostalgic. I only buy them on occasion and I keep them at work for that "I'll never make it until quitting time" hunger pain.

I love store brands but I have my NameBrands I must have.

*Unscented Liquid Tide HE MUST HAVE! I am unyielding about this-no 'rainwater cold' or origionial or any of that-it HAS to be THIS ONE.

*Maxwell House coffee I don't want the smell of any other coffee in my house.

*Luvs diapers (when I had diapered kiddos) I never found a store brand that I liked and Luvs were as good as more expensive brands.

I really only have one, regular COKE!

If it's not available, nothing else will do so I get a glass of lemon water and add some sugar making a lemon shakeup for free. ;)

Just off the top of my head: Pampers wipes, Pampers diapers, Huggies or Pampers pull ups, Coach, hubby has to have Ralph Lauren, Disney, Listerine, Sephora, Tide and Downy fabric softener (my in-laws own laundromats and swear by Tide and Downy softener) Godiva, Snapple, Welch's, Dunkin Donuts coffee (to make at home), Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts latte (at their stores), Victoria Secret bras and underwear for me, Jockey undershirts, socks and underwear for my hubby, and Pantene

wow, never thought about the brand loyal thing but i guess i have my share

Scott's toilet tissue or aildi which is pretty good
kraft mayo
BallPark or Oscar mayor hot dogs
Oscar Mayor pickle loaf (strange but I love it)
Sauve Shampoo (not picky)
Lays and doritoes chips
Campbell's soups
Zest soap
maybe I don't have as many as I thought.

Unfortunately, I am brand loyal on quite a few things.
Charmin, Bounty, Diet Coke, Lay's Potato Chips, Paul Mitchell hair products, Crocs, Skippy Peanut Butter, BallPark franks, Chobani yogurt, Land o Lakes American cheese, Francesco Rinaldi marinara pasta sauce, and Fiber One granola bars. I'm sure there are others but I am depressing myself.

I used to be brand loyal to bread but have acquired a taste for store brand whole wheat bread. I used to be brand loyal to Luvs diapers too until I tried the generic version from BJ's and I love them more. HA! Good pun!
