Hi there, I am an avid WDW fan that is also a DVC member. So as you all can tell I love Disney. Any ways my family and I have a May WDW trip in the works and we have sort of tossed up the idea of DCL for a little bit of the trip.

I was just kinda wondering is it way to late to book a cruise right now?(May the 20th is the day we planning on sailing) I was thinking on just trying out the 3 day trip to see how we like crusing since we have never done it before. I have also heard that when you are on a cruise that you should book the cheapest room just because you hardly spend any time in your room and to pay more for the bigger rooms are not worth it.Is this true at all? ( We are a group of 3, two adults and a teenager)

Another question I have is about pricing? I am not planning on using my points for cruising so what is the best way to get a good deal? Does DCL give any good deals like WDW does or is the price just basicallly the price. I have seen advertising for $399 for the cruise is this the real price or do you have to pay alot more with extra fees?It seems as though every time I try to get a price I always have to submit my name to a travel agent. Is there a phone number that you can call to get a price? Or are all cruises have to be booked by travel agents?

Any ways any answers to my questions would be very appreciated.

Thank You

Oh yes one last thing, If you are flying into Orlando what is the best way to get to Port Canviral and then back to WDW.

Thanks again.

>>I was just kinda wondering is it way to late to book a cruise right now?<< Well if ya book now be prepared to pay $$$

>>I have also heard that when you are on a cruise that you should book the cheapest room just because you hardly spend any time in your room and to pay more for the bigger rooms are not worth it.Is this true at all?<< It depends on the people and what you would be happy with.

>>Is there a phone number that you can call to get a price?<< Id check Disneycruise.com and orbitz and expedia to see what the going rate is- There is also a disney number to call but I dont know it right now :)

There are lots of transportation options- It depends how much ya want to spend- They have shuttles or towncars or ya can rent a car-

Go directly to the Disney web site. Select the DCL and then pick reservations. You can go though all the steps - Month etc. and see what rooms are available and what the price is.:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

let me just say this, anything with disney is going to be a blast. i gaurentee it. as for times and dates for booking, im am not sure. you may however look into it, because as u said before, you may not be worried about getting a large room. as alot of the spacious and high cat rooms may be booked. all rooms pretty much will be suitable, i personally like the large room. with the verandah, and the space, its just sooo awsome!

as for a 3 day? umm....let me say this, you will be soo hooked, you will wish you would have done the 4 day. that one extra day is soo much, you may not think it, but all in all it is. i think i would find myself rushing around trying to do everything if i had only 3 days, as there is soo much to do. i cant reccomend a disney cruise anymore. another thing you may like is the land and sea combonation, as that is just incredible! but thats another subject!

i hope this helps a little, sorry i didnt know the specifics, and if you go, have your teenager look into it alot. as there is soo much for him/her to do on the boat. pretty much be prepared to not see them throughout the day, only for dinner, and coming home around 2-3 in the morning! have fun!

Plugging in that date to Orbitz and Expedia

Orbitz- the date is sold out with the 13th being the cheapest of the rest of the month at 629 for an inside cabin (per person)

Expedia- you can get an ocean view for 780 a person for your date or an inside for the 13th for also 629 per person

It shows the 3 day sailing on the 20th of May is unavailable which generally means sold out. There are 2 other options that I can see...either go the 13-16 on the 3 day or the 4 day from the 16th to the 20th. Prices for the 3 day on the 13-16 range from $1969.55 for the lowest cat available which is a cat 10 inside all the way up to 3089.55 for a family stateroom with balcony. For the 4 day the cost ranges from 2569.55 for a Cat 09 to 3219.55 for a Cat 4. There are only 2 other categories available for that sailing and they are 2769.55 for a Cat 8 and 3119.55 for a Cat 06. I would submit to Dreams Unlimited to see what they could get price wise for you and see what happens.
