I know its a longshot but if you have ressies for OKW & BWV..do you think..

..its possible at the last minute (based on availability) that they could change it from 2nites at each, (one br at both places), to 4 nites one br at BWV? Not sure if thats ever been done, and if so , would it help to call and link my ressies? Thanks for any info

It will simply depend on availability. You need to get the two additional nights at BWV which, if not available now, might become so if there are cancellations. The "switch" would involve cancelling OKW, reserving the two extra nights at BWV and then linking the the two BWV ressies. It matters not whether you link your current and separate ressies at BWV and OKW.

I'm also not 100% positive how they would handle a same day switch. If by last minute, you mean arriving today with a reservation at OKW and asking to switch to BWV. Technically, the policy would seem to indicate that you'd forfeit the OKW points since you would be cancelling on the same day. They might be flexible on this, but it's something to keep in mind.

Well, thank you both,I didnt look at it that way,,,,i probably would have to forfeit the pts at the OKW,,,which is NOT a good thing because i rented them,LOL but it cant hurt to ask, so thanks again Mae

We were scheduled to check into OKW last October. Had tried for BWV with no luck. We stayed at a Disney moderate for 2 nights before checking in to OKW. While visiting the Boardwalk area before our OKW check-in, I went to the Registration area and explained that we were to check into OKW the next day and really wanted the Boardwalk, did they have anything available and how hard would it be for me to make the change. The CM went in the back, found they had space, called OKW, told them to make the switch, and lucky us, we were able to switch from an OKW studio to a Boardwalk studio, overlooking the Boardwalk, located on the same floor as the lobby. Don't know if they do this all the time or if Disney Magic was smiling upon us that trip.

I don't know if this will help in making your decision to call. But last summer on the day of check out of our grand villa we were suppose to go into two studies for 2 night. I called member services and ask if it was possible to get two in rooms at BWV and we got it.

The other consideration is that OKW requires fewer points than BWV and these were rented points. Will DVC make a change like that if there aren't enough points involved?

they just told me how many extra points It would use up, and that I needed to borrow them. No problem to do that.

Now if you were totally out of points.. Guess they wouldln't do that.

Well I called today and found out that there IS a one br available those 2 nites, so now im in BWV all 4 nites....the only problem (not a problem really) is that I have standard view the first 2 nites and preferred the second two. so it looks like I have to checkout anyway....which I didnt want to do , but at least I wont have to pack up the car or have everything carted over from the OKW.....Thanks to all MAE
