if you were going in May. I'm trying to figure out how to do our park days so, I can figure out PS needed. Thanks,Tina

we take advantage of EE. usually are there before it opens and then we leave not too long after the rest of the park opens to the general public.

Here's my $.02:

For the MK, EE can be a huge benefit, particularly if you're interested in the FL/TL rides that are open; then at rope-drop, you can hit the Mountain(s) of your choice. However, I suggest that you plan on leaving at or before noon, as the MK gets very crowded on an EE day.

For all the other parks, I suggest NOT going on EE day. They usually only have a few rides open, and the crowds drawn by EE usually out-weigh any benefits.

IMHO - YMMV

I agree with Dr. Tomorrow. We did EE at MK on Sunday morning and then again Monday. We hopped to MGM on Sunday afternoon, which is the day after their EE. For the rest of the parks, we followed the Day After approach as well. Did AK Tuesday a.m., MGM Weds. a.m and Epcot Thursday a.m. This was in July, and it worked out very well.

We have little kids, so we're going to do MK one day on EE. Around lunchtime or so, we'll go back to our resort for a break/rest/swim/whatever, then maybe we'll return in the evening, maybe we'll go to a different park. Right now, I'm thinking we'll go back, since we'll be there in late Sept and hopefully the crowds won't be terrible.

The other parks we are doing on non-EE days.

I did my own EE vs non-EE test the week of April 18. I visited Tomorrowland on a non-EE day and was finished with two Space Mt rides, 2 rides on Buzz and one on the TTA in an hour. The following am I only got one ride on Buzz and one on Space by 45 minutes after the hour. I think EE at MK is only good for small children who need to ride Dumbo.

We like the early entry at MK because of all the rides that are open during this time. Some of the other parks do not open too many rides early. Our next trip we are going to early entry at MK, then have a PS at Cinderellas Castle for a late breakfast at 9:50am. It should be a great start to our first day in the parks.

I wonder if I have messed up my plans. We're going 11/18-11/25. We won't get to WDW until 10 pm on 11/18 so no park that day. Friday isn't an EE day for MK but how could we go to Disney and not go there first???? Then, I planned to go to MGM on Saturday, which is an EE day. Sunday is a free day, Monday is Animal Kingdom which is an EE day, Tuesday is Epcot which is day before EE day, Wednesday and Thursday are both open days for downtown disney go back to parks, waterparks, etc.

Did I not plan well??????????

If you go to MGM and AK on the EE days, you will need to be there right at rope drop. If you like RnR and ToT, go to one AFTER getting FP for the other. You might be able to ride one two times in a row with minimal waits. Animals are reported to be active in the am so same strategy with Safari, tho you may want to send one person to get FP and start over at Dinosaur (which is scary even for me). I like Donald's Breakfastosaurus at AK as a late brunch around 10:20 am. November is supposed to have lighter crowds than times I've visited, so lots of pixie dust to you

I used to love EE days when my kids were little and under my control ;) - I had no problem getting them to the bus and being at the gate before the park opened. Based on my last few trips with my teen and the 2 days I joined my sister and her boys last month, I won't be doing EE again unless I know that I can get everyone to the gate early.

Example: Mon, 8/23 (not a particularly busy week) - I joined my sis and her boys and I planned EE at AK because of the heat - wanted to hit the big rides, had a late PS at B'fastosaurus (10:10) - then cut out of the park by about noon and head to BB. Reality: the teens didn't exactly jump out of bed (neither do mine  anymore!) - so we were late to leave the room -then we waited 15 mins at the BW bus stop - didn't get through the AK gate until 8:45 - head right back to safari - 20 min standby wait - FP was already during our PS time, so we waited - we did see lots of animals!! then we walked right to Dinosaur - stand by wait is already 30 mins (at 9:45!) - we grab FPs to return. Check in line at Bfastosaurus is huge - so we opt to let little guy play in boneyard for a while and then check in for b'fast - we wait 20 minutes past our PS time before being seated. Out of breakfast just before 11:30 - right to Dinosaur with our FPs - then to ITTBAB - 10 min wait/ no FPs open. by the time we got to Kali River at 12:30 the standby line was 65 minutes!!! and the FPs were for mid-afternoon ! Yikes !! It was mobbed, we were hot!!! - skipped Kali and went right to BB and had a wonderful day - My point (though long !) - if you aren't going to be at the gate AT opening - skip EE morning IMHO !! The only time it works for me is if I get in early and get out by mid-day - you've got to have that jump on the crowds who 'intend' to get there early (like we did!) but don't :smooth: .
