I love meeting charcters!

Can you recomend any character meeting areas or dinners which may be quieter for adults?

At Walt Disney World the character experiences are much more organised. I don't enjoy the scrum of DLP meets, so much so that on my kast 2 visits I didn't bother.

would highly recommend an evening meal at Inventions at Disneyland Hotel. The interaction with the characters was excellent, and i noticed that there were solo diners there.

I don't recommend cowboy cook out, i was very surprised by how much of a scrum that was still despite it being a character meal, people were piling around other peoples tables and garbing the character for pictures and autographs not waiting for the characters to come to their table, this resulted in tables being missed out completely.

It may be worth popping into Hotel New York or the Disneyland Hotel to do a character meet & greet in the morning, yesterday morning Newport Bay Club had massive queues for the meet & greet but when we went over to Hotel New York there was only one person there waiting so that could be a good chance to meet and greet.

I have every day the oportunity to see character meetings, I must be honest with you.

If you are seeking for quiet places where you can meet various characters I highly recommand you to spot the "fixed" photo locations. They are displayed by a white Mickey hand surrounded by a red square on the park map.

The good new is that these "fixed photo locations" are scheduled so you increase your chances to meet some of your favorite characters at specific times.

On the other hand, surprise characters show ups may occur at any place in the parks. Then, it is unfortunately harder to get a chance to take a picture easily as -I must be honest- most of european guests aren't so patient than in US parks I've visited.

The idea of eating at Inventions is a very good one but if you wish to, then be sure to make an advanced reservation.

Another one if you have time would be (if possible for you) to be in the main lobby of the Disneyland Hotel down the stairs at Mid afternoon (around 3-3.30 pm)? Then some characters go down the big staircases and you may find some "rare" characters sometimes.

As usual, do not hesitate to ask for further infos, I'll be very glad to help !

Hi microsan :welcome: to the Disneyland Paris Trip Planning & Community Board.

Hoping you'll have lots of fun on here    please join in with any thread or if you have any questions please start a new one of your own.

If you haven't had a look yet, the DLP DISboard posting rules are here and the DIS posting guidelines can be found here. :)

You are so lucky to be working at DLP - do you mind me asking what you do there?

chipndalefan - I love eating at Inventions too. :)

Hi !

Thank you for your warm welcome !

As for today, I'm working in a few attractions of the WDS Park.

I've already read the rules & guidelines. Thanks for the info.

Inventions is a great meet and greet (and fab food also), only disappointment for our 5yo was that Minnie didn't show (we told her she was getting ready for the parade...)

The shout for the lobby in DH is also a good one, we met Eyeore, Rafiki and Winnie the Pooh there, there were hardly any people there and Eyeore in particular spent ages with our little ones.

Finally, if you hang around the big green gate near Casey's train you'll see the princesses come and go if you're lucky and near the babycare centre on Main Street is good - imagine my surprise when I felt a tap on the shoulder asking did I need any help with my baby and it was the CM entering the park with Minnie! I have fab photo's of Minnie cuddling my 11 month old while I got her lunch ready! Magical.

Cafe Mickey is good for a meal and plenty of characters.

Also, although this is not on the schedule anymore - take a stroll past Woody's Roundup in Frontierland. There used to me organised meets there and it was taken off the schedule. But, we noticed characters in there a few weeks ago and it was definitely not advertised. It was nice and quiet too.

Hotel New York is great for meets each morning, never experienced queues here.
