I know I should know the answer to this...

I can't remember the name of my guide or his phone number. We went on the tour at SSR in 2005 and then bought a 200 pt BWV contract through TTS. I want to contact him but how do I find out who my guide is? Can I call member services? Would they just assign me a new guide? I would feel bad about getting a new one - there was nothing wrong with the one I had. Forgive me if this is a stupid question or it has been asked a million times.

If you didn't buy from him to begin with, I would just get a new guide. I don't think you should feel that much loyalty to someone who just gives you a tour. If you did purchase from the guide any points, they should be able to look it up for you. Kath

That is so true! We never took the tour, but did make calls about DVC in 1996. When we were ready to buy in 2003, I called and was told that my guide wasn't in I didn't know I had a guide. At any rate, Michelle finally did get the sale(s)!

We called for information a few different times in the late 90's and earlier this decade and each time were assigned a different guide, they simply said something like "I'll be working with you now." Then in 06 we took the tour, the guide that we had was off that day, so they assigned us a new guide.

On a follow-up revisit I made this January it happened again. The guide we had was not there the days I was, so we ended up with yet another guide. But, she's been great so far for us. Theresa Seitz is her name. She's the one we bought our points from, and has been very attentive and responds quickly with any questions we've had. She's phoned us a couple of times since joining to see how we're doing and if there's anything she can do to help.

I was able to call DVC and they gave me the name and number of my guide.

Funny story....

My parents looked into buying DVC in the early 90's. When I called to buy in in 2004 they said I already had a guide. Apparently since I used my parents address they reconnected me with Randy who would have been my parent's guide if they had bought in in 1991!
