I just won tickets to Disneyland!

He told me that KDKB (a local radio station) was starting a contest for Disneyland tickets. So this morning I signed up for the contest. I listened at the lunch time hour when they were going to announce todays winner and I almost had a heart attack when they said my name

Thanks for letting me know about this contest. I signed my wife up today because I can't listen it work. She missed today's name though. Did you have to call in to claim your prize when you heard your name, or did they also notify you another way? I guess I'm trying to figure out if you have to listen to win. It is hard to get my wife to listen to an hour of what she would consider hard rock.

I was listening when they called my name. So I called them. She did say "I hope this person is listening ..." and then she called my name. So I am not sure if they would have notified me or not if I had not been listening.

I have been listening for my sister because she is at work during that time, and I have noticed that they tend to call the name closer to the end of the hour. Good luck to you guys!

Congratulations, you will love it! We went last summer and really enjoyed it. Don't miss Soarin' in California Adventure - I think we went on it 4 or 5 times!

Thanks guys! Its so fun sharing my excitement with others that totally understand how happy I feel!!!
We had planned a trip for the begining of last December but we had to cancel it because my 10 year old was very sick (he was hospitalized and diagnosed with type 1 diabeties). I just didnt see us being able to pull off a trip any time soon, so this is definately a blessing.
Now we a just trying to figure out what time my husband can take off. I was thinking a few days during spring break but it doesnt look like that will work for DH schedule. So now we are looking at the first weekend of March which will also be our anniversary! We actually had our honeymoon at Disneyland so this would be just perfect!

And I will definately let you know if I win the grand prize. Actually they are only running the contest for 2 weeks (weekdays) and there is one winner a day. So I will have a 1 in 10 chance of winning that! Not too bad of odds. But either way this will be a wonderfully unexpected great trip!!!

I understand what you mean about wanting to share your excitement. I keep wanting to tell everyone I won a OMDD trip, but outside of my husband, parents and 2 BFFs, I don't really think anyone would get as excited with me. That's probably why I am now obsessed with this message board.

Congrats. I didn't know KDKB was having a contest, but it's rare that I get to listen to anything other than Phineas & Ferb, Tangled, or Disney Princess songs...
