And I'm SO HAPPY we bought into DVC!! :cool1: No worrying about codes, or 120 days till whenever... When we were "just" AP holders I was a slave to the codes. Now... forget it! Got my points, booked my trip, DONE! :cheer2:

It is true that most DVCers probably aren't worried at all about codes, etc anymore, many use the onsite hotels for short trips, weekend nights, as a way of skipping checking in issues, etc. It is going to be interesting to see how this all plays out, but it doesn't seem like a bad thing to me. Just internet freaking out that happens every time Disney begins something new (and I think 1/2 the time the beans get spilled before they are ready).

I think you have the right outlook on the new plan. We'll see see how it all plays out -- it might be better than the old system. There are a few areas regarding running a world class destination resort where the Disney people know even more than we do.

I would not be surprised to learn that the new plan is not the catastrophe than many fear.

lol just like MYW which I think has been good for MOST travelers as well. I love getting discounts, but if I don't then so be it. If I can't afford to go to WDW without a room discount, then lets face it, I really really really probably don't need to be going anyway. For value hotels, the cost of the hotel is not the most expensive daily expense for my family anyway - dining is...so  DDE rocks and that was given to me a la my AP. I guess I feel like those discounts are a magnet to get me back into the world spending my money. They want my money so there will always be magnets around. :)
