My wife talked me into it. So what, it's stainless and the lid lifts up. The plastic one was $12.

Where do I go wrong in life?

I used to be in control.

Will my 6 month old daughter be able to maniuplate me when she learns how to talk?

:confused3

Man, I feel for you, you are gonna be one whipped puppy when she gets older if her mom got you to spend that much on a trashcan. :lmao:

Need a DJ for a kids party? I'm available! ;)

You were never in control. We wives just like to let you think you are ;)

I have a Longaberger ex-large oval waste basket, it cost about $250. My DH thinks I'm just a little  , but he loves me anyway. And I do have the best looking trash can in town. :thumbsup2

Geez, do these expensive garbage cans take the bag out to the garage garbage, also? :teeth:

For that kind of money it better close the bag, take the bag out of itself, and walk it to the curb on trash night.

:teeth:

Is it the one that has a rounded top to it and it kinda pushes in and out (the door thingie)??...I was so so close to buying one a couple years ago...I wanted it so bad but talked myself out of it....

You got it!

Like my automatic litterbox! And my Roomba. If they make it, I'll buy it! :rotfl2:

They make one that you don't have to push open--there is a sensor--you just put your hand in front of it and it opens. Pretty neat. But, like Merle, I want it carried out to the curb on trash day! :teeth:

Did people ask you if you were really going to put trash in it? Mine is the first thing you see when you come in from the garage. It looks so much nicer than the plastic one. And no it does not empty itself but that is okay.

A little :offtopic: but do you have a lot of baskets? I don't have the craft keeper but I do have about 275 other ones, haven't counted them in a while.

We only paid $80 for ours :teeth:

But I love it - the stupid plastic top was always falling off the other one, and it was too small to fit anything in.

This one is worth every penny. :thumbsup2

(DH takes the trash out to the curb for free! )

More expensive garbage can equals more expensive garbage!!! Maybe this is where the empty caviar cans rest in peace! Meanwhile the poor hamburger helper box gets thrown in the ugly plastic one!

Does anyone else think that the Hamburger Helper guy should donate himself to Mickey's that are missing a hand?

Boy do I need some sleep!

Longaberger baskets are collectables, they don't need to empty themselves, they need to just sit there and look pretty. :teeth:

Yep, your daughter is gonna have you around her little finger!!!!

My Dad still grabs his wallet every time I walk in the house and say Hi Daddy! (and I am 34!)

Went shopping yesterday with a friend and she spent $149.95 on an ugly stainless steel trash can and it wasn't even a decent size. :confused3

We bought a stainless steel one too, but from Costco for maybe $50. I think the plastic ones get yucky and hard to clean. The stainless one wipes right up, hopefully we won't be buying another one for a long time.
