The Living Seas has always been my fave section of Epcot.

I don't think the video quite does the ride justice. The main thing you miss is that you're *moving* all the time the screen presentation is going on, but it was hard to capture that sensation on the video. My camera also had a fairly narrow field of view, so I had to be selective -- I couldn't capture everything that was on the screens as I was moving by.

On the other hand, I don't think this is something people will be "blown away" by. But I do think it's a very nice dark ride, one that children familiar with the movie should especially enjoy. I also think it will make a great addition to the Seas Pavillion by breathing some "new life" into that area of the park.

Just rode today. The outside area and que are great. I want the wood floors they have in the que-so nice. The que is HUGE. I hope the lines do not really get that long. The ride is pretty short. A little longer than the old Sea Cabs. There are a lot of clam shells/close together but it takes a long time to get past the load area to the actual 1st scene. Little kids may get anxious with that. It is a moving walkway like HM. The sound really did sound off. You can hear the scenes over and over in some spots-I really noticed it in the 1st part. We heard it repeat about 4 times! You can tell it is not the same voice actors from the movie-mostly with Albert Brooks/Marlan. Dorry sounds pretty close. The effects are very nice. I LOVE when they appear in the tanks. Kids will love it. There was NO air in the ride we were so hot in there. Hopefully they will work out the sound bugs. Don't wait if the que is out to the old Living Seas que- you will have a loooooong way to go from there for a short ride. DH gave it a B overall. I say B+ if the sounds get improved. Nice addition-better than NO ride

The video captures only a small bit of the new attraction. The ride is not as dark as it appears and there is so much to see beyond the small view from the camera.

All the old historic diving gear is gone from the que area. It is replaced by dune scenes that I'm sure did not involve a lot of budget. As you get into the que a little deeper, the lighting makes you feel you are under water, and you look up to see the bottom of a boat, with the anchor and ladder hanging down.

The clams are built for two-maybe two adults and a small child would fit. But they are colorful and attractive. As you view the story, it's like looking into a big aqaurium, window by window. The effects of the stars from the film are good. Especially at the end when the characters appear in the real tank with real fish.

Like I said, the ride is not as dark as you would expect after seeing the video, and that's probably good for younger kids. Overall, the experience is pleasant and introduces new tech for getting the characters into the aquarium. Smaller kids familiar with the film will enjoy the attraction, and I think parents will as well.

When were you there today? We went around noon and the air seemed to be working fine. There were a couple of spots where we heard the same lines over again, but in our case it was because the ride almost came to a stop and we were basically in the same area for a while. I am guessing this will be the norm though.

As with all New Rides, they are probably working out some of the kinks. We went on Wednesday morning and the clam-mobiles were going a little too fast. I actually felt that I was missing what was happening. When, I went again yesterday, they seemed a little slower. I don't think that the ride is too short at all. Actually, I was pretty impressed with the length. I do agree that the que is very very long once you get inside the building.....but then again.....look at the que for Sorin'!!!! This one is much better themed and there is a lot to look at.

Sorry RideMax Mark, my comment didn't really come out right. I wasn't saying your video wasn't good, that's kind of how it sounded. I just think the ride seemed kind of lame. But then again, if I saw a video of Peter Pan's Flight or Spaceship Earth without ever riding them before - I would probably think they look pretty lame as well, but I LOVE those rides. Actually I'm a huge fan of dark rides. I guess maybe it was the audio that was odd to me. I hope I don't get sick of hearing "NEMO!", "NEMO!", "NEMO!" and never want to watch the movie again. It was hard to tell but, judging by the audio it didn't really seem like there was a storyline other then the fact that everybody's looking for Nemo. But I guess when you look at all the classic storybook darkrides (Peter Pan, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, Pinocchio and Alice in Wonderland) they all tell the same story as the movie they are based on. I could be just bitter about the fact that they're turning the entire pavilion into Nemo. Or the fact that this is Future World and they're putting in attractions that have nothing to do with the future. But that's a whole other debate.

Anyway, the technollogy sounds cool and I'm excited to see it in a couple weeks nonetheless. Maybe I'll be impressed since my expectations are low. It was that way for Soarin'. I think I heard Mike Scopa (or maybe Len Testa) from the WDW Today podcast say he wasn't impressed with Soarin' because it's just an elevated chair in front of a quick IMAX movie. So I had low expectations and I came away thinking that was one of the best rides I'd ever been on... So we'll see.
