I just need to vent...

Elizabeth - I am so sorry but I'm so glad you decided to still take your trip. Try and relax and don't worry while you're there. pixiedust: Pixie Dust just for you!

Sorry to hear about the job. I would only advise you to be very careful about any demands for time off with a new employer. I mean, this is trip #4 in a 12 month period, I wouldnt even broach the subject of that much time off at a new job regardless of what field it is. I dont mean that to sound like a criticism, only that some employers may not expressly say no upfront, but it may count against you more than you might realize. Have a great trip and good luck on the job hunting!

I am so sorry this has happened to you, twice!
Please enjoy your vacation. Best of luck in finding a new position!

wishing you lots of pixiedust: in your job hunting!

i hope you have a wonderful time on your trip, i too think it will be a good way to recharge and relax so you can come back with renewed energy.

I am so sorry about your job loss. At least you have your trip to give you something else to think about. Have a wonderful time and like a few others said- hopefully this will lead to an even better job!

So sorry to hear about your job but I'm glad you'l be able to go to WDW and have fun for a few days :thumbsup2. When this happened to me it always turned out for the best so best of luck to you. It can't happen a third time anyway right! Have a wonderful trip, you deserve it ::yes::!

So sorry to hear the news. I've been there myself. The good thing is, your trip is already paid for, so go and enjoy yourself. Have some fun. Things will work themselves out in time.pixiedust:

I'm so sorry, All of my pixie dust is going to you! Have a wonderful trip, and don't worry about it until after you get back :)

I feel your pain! I myself just got fired by certified letter from my teaching job, three days before school started! Anyhow, have a great time at Disney and try to forget about the real world for a little while! HAVE FUN:wizard:

I have always heard that when God closes one door he opens another. I pray something better is just waiting around the corner for you. Have a great trip to WDW

I was laid of late last year and I know how heartbreaking it is. My thoughts are with you. Maybe your trip to Disney will be the start of a new chapter in your life, filled with happiness and imagination!

:worried: So sorry to hear about your job.

I hope you take the time on your vacation to look around and realize - no matter what - how luck you are. Take in all those good vibes while you're there and when you get back home to reality-land you'll be ready to take on the world :thumbsup2

 My DH lost his job in February and it was terrifying. I am a SAHM and to suddenly loose our only source of income was overwhelming at times. We was lucky enought to find an even better job and we are slowly rebuilding our savings. Have a great trip and I pray the magic follows you home and you find a great new job quickly. :grouphug:

So sorry that this has happened. I know so many people who are in similar situations and it is very hard for everyone. Please try and enjoy your trip. Don't think about the job search until you get back.

You must be getting off the wrong side of the bed. If one door close another opens. Just hope the other door open sooner than latter. Sorry to here the bad news. My Sis has been not working since last year. She still has not found job yet. :sad1:

Hi,
been there....
my husband lost his job days before we were scheduled for a disney trip.

He needed time alone while I did the dishes. It suddenly occurred to me, oh my go$$$, (don't want to offend) Disney!

I went in the front room and reminded him. He agreed most of it was already paid for.

I have a great memory of being at Hollywood Studios (then MGM) of him making a call about a job. He used a pay phone! Because of the time difference the call was too early and the other guy he needed to speak with, the partner, wasn't in the office yet. I quietly sat on a bench praying. As with most things, it worked out.

My thoughts are with you.

Every time I am back at HS, I say a prayer of thanks for what occurred.

I'm sorry you are going through this. I know it's very hard, but it could be worse.

My Dad found out he has cancer a few weeks before our trip. We leave on the 13th. My brother, who is also going, hasn't received test results back yet, but also probably has cancer. If it's not cancer, something else is seriously wrong.

I hope you have a great trip, try not to worry. Have a positive attitude and you may be employed sooner than you know! :)

For anyone who has lost a job I really hope something wonderful comes along soon for you. At our business things are really tough, but the last few weeks we've seen an uptick in orders. Won't help with Sept. and Oct though.

To the original poster, go to Disney and have fun with your family.
