Thanks everyone for your support. My puppy (Munson), was born on August 18. The vet called today to say that he had a birth defect in his trachea that was allowing fluid into his lungs. He said it was simply a matter of time before he had gone, and that he had been lucky to live to this point. The breeder has offered another dog, but I'm not ready for that yet. I've moped around all day (not at all aided by the abysmal play of my other beloved bulldogs), but this site really gives me comfort.

How terrible. At least the breeder offered you another in the litter. You might be surprised how much that might cheer you up. It is so hard to loose a dog. No matter the time.
