And it is breaking my heart.

I probably shouldn't be so attached to a little dog who only came into my life only 2 days ago, but I am dying inside. My whole life I have wanted an English Bulldog, and after traveling to LSU last week to watch my beloved Bulldawgs tussle with the Bayou Bengals, and seeing so many bulldogs out tailgating, I came home a man on a mission. Thursday, I found him; Saturday, I lost him. The vet is investigating what happened right now, but he died in the vets hands while in for a check-up this morning.

Just venting I guess, but I'm really down today.

I'm so very sorry. That is just so tragic to lose the puppy like that. I hope the vet can determine what happened. Are there any others available in the litter?

The pictures weren't posted when I first replied...what a handsome little guy he was. Did he seem healthy and alert during the two days you had him?

So sorry for you. Length of time doesn't matter in times of lost.

That is so sad. I feel terrible for you.

I'm very sorry about your pup. As a fellow dog lover, it's easy to understand
that it's a big loss for you. I hope the vet provides you with the information you need. Take care.

Did he have a lot of stomach and intestinal issues? Maybe Parvo? I know bulldogs like that can have breathing issues too. Where did you get him? They may be able to help find out what happened. I'm so sorry this happened. We just got a puppy four days ago and we've already gotten very attached.

My prayers are with you. I have gone through (my version of) this eight times so far in my life, and it is never easy. :grouphug:

A few of us here have worked for vets. I am very sorry for your loss. Your vet should be able to tell you what happened.

Also, be sure to tell the breeder in case it's a genetic issue.

I am very sorry to have read about your loss. Hopefully the vet can give you some answers.

Best wishes to you and your family.

I am so sorry to hear about losing your baby Uga. Whether it's 2 days or 17 years, losing a pet that is loved is heartbreaking. Dogs touch a special part of your heart.

I'm so sorry! I know how can someone bee so attached to a puppy, I love my little one and I don't know what I'll do without him. Sending you pixie dust and lots of supportpixiedust:

 so sorry for your loss. I hope the vet can give you some answers, and like another poster said, length of time they are with you does not matter in a time of loss.

I completely understand! It would break my heart too.

I am glad that your vet is checking out the cause of death. How old was your puppy? As someone else said, be sure to let the breeder know if it is genetic!

***Also, do not get another puppy until you are sure the cause of death is not something contagious. Some illnesses can linger in the environment for many months, you would not want to loose a second puppy.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this! And such a cute puppy, too. I adore bulldogs.

What a great picture!

Sorry for your loss....

We recently went through the loss of a special friend too. :dog:

Sending hugs and prayers your way.
