I just got Hertz/Priceline!

I just got a full size car from Hertz at Priceline. 12/30-1/12, thirteen days for 457.00. I have been getting high rates from Dollar and National so I tried Priceline. I am happy with the price but have to go off site to get to Hertz. Has anyone used Hertz? Is it hard to get to? Any info would be apprieciated! I hope I did the right thing! Of course, I'm scared now!!

The shuttle from the airport is reasonably quick, the return is easy, they will give you directions.

We used them last yr. and it was very quick and easy dealing with them and their shuttle service.

I'm glad to hear the shuttle to Hertz is not a problem. So what do you think of the price 28.00 a day? Since the rental is at holiday time I think it seems like a good price. I was getting a quote of 590.00 for a compact from Dollar. Not sure what that works out to per day but I know I am saving quite a bit. Plus I am getting a full size car. I have a coupon to get a car upgrade from Hertz. Hopefully you can use coupons with Priceline? Thanks for the replies!

I use Hertz the majority of the time for my car rental needs. In my opinion, they are the best rental and most professional. That's a pretty good price for Hertz. Just remember, upgrades are subject to availability. If you are going during a busy time, don't count on an upgrade. If you are a Gold Club member, you have a better chance for an upgrade but it's not guarenteed. Two out of the three times I did not get an upgrade. They will try to accomodate you though.

$457 for 13 days is $35.15 per day. Perhaps you are thinking of the "base rate" you were quoted. While one could get lower rates with other companies, cheaper is not always better.

Shuttle went very smoothly & we were upgraded to a MINIVAN!!! Yeah!!!

If you look on your Priceline printout, I think you will find that you cannot use the coupons or any other promo.

Can I use coupons to pay for my priceline car rental?

Neither priceline nor the rental car company that accepts your request will accept coupons for upgrades, free days, discounts or any other promotions.

We use Hertz all the time now at MCO. We were at our car in 10 mins. I got the car I reserved and several times even got upgrades. You can't go wrong with Hertz.
