I Just Got Engaged!!!

A couple of hours ago, I was with DBF, (well duh, of course I was with DBF,) and we were just sitting in my room, playing video games, go figure, and he asked me to marry him! I'm just so excited right now!

He just went home to feed his dog, and should be back in an hour or so. But I wanted to post here, and start planning right away. Oh my god, I'm just so happy!

I woke up early this morning. DBF, I mean, DF, is still asleep. Which is weird, since usually he's the first one up.

We want a long engagment. I need things to be completely planned out, and I'm going to probably end up being one of those crazy bridezillas. (Note - that is not the only reason we want a long engagment, but it is a big part.) I think the soonest we'd get married at this point would be 2009, so not a super-long engagment, but a couple years at least.

Congratulations! It's an exciting time and I hope the two of you truly enjoy it. My fiance` and I have been engaged since April 2005. We had to have a two year engagement because the place we wanted to get married and have our reception was already booked, not to mention money was a factor. HOever, it all worked out well, because we got the place we wanted and we're getting married 7/7/07, a very popular date.

Enjoy it for all it's worth. There's going to be a lot of stress, but have as much fun as possible and it will be here before you know it.
