I just got back from the ER...UGH

Well I thought I would share my latest bought of Joy ....School sent Dorian home today while I was at work with an earache. Same ear as the last one. I knew it wasn't good when Motrin wasn't helping. Dr's office was not answering I think they are having phone issues. So after an hour of him crying and a fever I brought him in. Same ear same ear infection again. He was rid of it and it's back. I have no idea what is causing it. It is begining to worry me. I am exhausted and going to bed and I just hope he can atleast sleep through the night. Thanks for listening.

Went through this with DS last winter. Had 4 ear infections back to back to back. He would do the course of antibitics, he would be fine for a day or two, and it came roaring back.

Finally after #4 they put him on a long term, low dosage of Amoxicillian for the remainder of the winter. That is what finally did the trick.

I'm sorry your little man is feeling crummy, and I hope you guys can get some rest.

Sorry about Dorian. I hope he's feeling better.

My ds had frequent ear infections (9 ear infections between the ages of 5 months and 12 months). He had tubes put in his ears a couple of weeks after his 1st birthday. Those things have helped a whole lot! He's had maybe 3 or 4 ear infections in the past 5 years since he's had his tubes. And the infections aren't nearly as severe now. Zithromax is what I ask for when his ears are infected. All the other antibiotics we've tried just doesn't seem to help.

Does Dorian have sinus problems? That could be what's causing the ear infections.
