I just can't take this any longer!!!!

Okay, I admit it - I'm going insane with all this speculation about the rate change system and when the dang things are coming out. Really, truly, completely INSANE!!! I did make a room only reservation in order to ensure that I get the resort I want, but I want to know how much it's going to cost already!!!!

I know that patience is a virtue, it's just apparently one that I struggle with. And for crying out loud, how many other hotels in the world don't have rates available for six months out? I can't imagine many. At least of the caliber we're talking here.

Grrrrrr - just needed to gripe. Anyone else care to join me? I just don't want to be alone right now.

I completely agree. The last time I booked a vacation with Disney we booked it about a year in advance... this is crazy that they don't have pricing even six months out.

Anybody know why they made this change? Seems rather silly considering most people need to plan a vacation to disney more than six months out.

I am holding my breath, hoping I am not going to pay Holiday rate for the first week of January. Please Disney, just release the rates. How hard can it be?

Don't get me started. I am in a really crappy mood right now. I have been calling Disney reservations almost every day (sometimes more than once a day) to find out when the 2008 rates will be out.

Most times, I have been told mid-August which lines up with the last two years.

Two times, I was told there was a possibility that it could be as early as July.

There was the rumor that the rates would be posted June 23rd. I stayed up until Midnight to check the website. No rates.

Then there was a rumor that the rates would be out July 5. Guess what! No rates.

I just got off the phone and the CM told me that it would be late September.

Helloooooooo Disney, we're dying to give you our money. Can you please put out your 2008 rates!?!

In the past Jan 3 usually starts the value season. I would be nervous too if I were you. Good Luck.

Of course, if you guys were DVC members your reservations would already be made and done. It's geared towards folks who like to make plans almost a year in advance (11 months). I have my room reserved for January 27 for a week at the AKV, but will mostly likely add an additional day IF the rates are not too expensive for the weekends in 2008. I'm waiting too, but got my place to stay already. I can't wait to see the new rate structure, but not excited to see higher rates. Wouldn't it be nice if they kept the same rates for the weekends and LOWERED the week day rates....some how I don't think that idea will fly.

Count me in! I am getting very annoyed. September is beyond ridiculous! I am going marathon weekend so I made a room only at WL. WL is the top of the budget so if they increase the price a lot I am out of luck. I was tempted to also make a reservation at a moderate but I don't really want to have two deposits down at the same time. Why is this so hard???

They have had a cheaper price applied to their room only ressies (cheaper than the 07 rates!!). One post said $25 night cheaper at the poly

Must be some pretty big changes brewing at Disney, but I'd bet they'll have something in mid August. They will be wanting the money to start rolling in.

Wow, I feel for those of you who are planning a January or February, 2008 trip. I am having a hard time waiting and I am just under a year out. I would be going absolutely crazy waiting for prices if we were going in just five or six months.

I'm not too keen on making room only reservations when they're only going to be canceled and rebooked when the packages are released, but at this point I don't want to be 4 months away from the arrival date and still not have any guarantee that I'll have somewhere to stay!

When booking our 2006 and 2007 WDW vacations, I asked the CM if Disney gave any kind of discounts for stays of a week or longer (we stay 10 days). I was always told no.

I sent an e-mail to WDW reservations this morning asking about the new nightly rate system and if they will be offering any kind of discounts for stays of a week or more.

When I get a response back, I will post it.

I'm right there with ya! My husband and I were talking last night about this same subject. There are tons of Disboard members just itching for the rates to come out. I've read a lot of people are going ahead and booking room only.

You know good and well that all the other people out there are thinking the same thing.

Now I'm afraid that, if I don't go ahead and book a room only reservation, we might not get the resort we want.

It's suppsoed to be really simple to cancel a room only and then turn around and book a package. I'm hoping so.

I am staying at All Star Movies with 40% off room rate. Going there from Dec 18th - Jan 1st. For an amazing $686 plus tax! Then we go to Pop From Jan 1st -Jan 5th for (quoted) $328.00 plus tx....Almost half of what we paid for 14 nights! Don't mean t osound greedy but I am hoping for a code for Jan 1st -Jan 5th!
