...I LOVE IT!

For $150, it is a full Droid phone! I get YouTube (downloads just as quick as my laptop and desktop), it already has apps on it and uses the the Droid Apps market, swype, video recorder/camera (both are better than the online reviews, and I can surf the net with relative speed for a phone.

I really researched a lot of phones and I am very frugal. I was paying $10 per month for unlimited internet for my previous "dumb" phone and was used to the slow downloads and frustrations and limitations with it. This gives me 3Gs of MUCH, MUCH faster loading and access for the same $10 per month!! :cool1:

The only big complaint anyone seems to have is battery life. Apparently, you have to charge it every day. I do that anyway, so it isn't a problem for me.

To me, this is really allowing me to get my money's worth out of my unlimited data plan. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else was thinking about getting into the Droid market.

Good luck!

Glad you're happy with your phone, but I'm confused: Did you get a Comet or a Droid? Those are two different phones. :confused3

The Comet phone runs a andriod operationg system on the phone.

did you have to purchase it with a contract? I have been a Sprint customer for a long time and am looking for a better phone/contract.

$150 is the price w/o a contract. It's $75 with a 2 year contract.

Oh no, I will never buy a contract phone again. I bought a prepaid SIM card with T-Mobile a few years back and never looked back. Now my son and I buy our phones outright and share a prepaid phone plan. I pay $79 per month for unlimited text, we share 1500 minutes, and I pay an additional $10 per month for my unlimited data plan.

How does it work as a plain old phone? I'm looking for a new T-mobile and would love to have wi-fi but not willing to pay the data fees. I'm on pay as you go now and love that but would love to just text my hubby or email him. He's a teacher and I can't just call. Besides fielding calls for the kids, that is all I use my phone for.

Would you recommend it for that?

it is a full Droid phone!

Just wanted to point out that Droid is a particular model of phone. Andriod is the operations system that is used by many models of phones, including the Driod and Comet. Don't confuse the two terms.
