I just booked POR!

It will be my first solo trip - 11 nights at POR in July. I have only stayed onsite once before and that was at CBR (Christmas 03) which I loved. I wanted to try a different moderate just for variety.

This trip was supposed to be rather different, 3 weeks staying in an offsite villa with my family but my mum has just been diagnosed with a serious illness and will still be undergoing treatment in the summer. They had to cancel last week.

So I have slightly mixed feelings about this trip. I know I will love it but there will be a small cloud over it too.

Oh and I am paying rack rate - ugghh. I'd love it if a general code materialised but I'm not that lucky.

Congrats! I'm sure you'll love POR. It's my favorite. It's just fantastic.

Don't give up hope on some general discounts. You never know. Half the fun is biting your nails til the last minute and then saving some cash!

Congratulations on booking at POR. However, so sorry to hear about your mother.
I have been debating between CSR and POR, but now I am considering SOG since my DH is military. Hope you have a wonderful trip (even in spite of what you will be dealing with). Good luck with your mother.

We loved POR last Sept, we stayed in Paterre Place in the mansion section. We're giving POFQ a shot this year. Hope you enjoy your trip.
