We put down our deposit on Friday, and as the guide promised, I was able to call and make a reservation even though I didn't have my member number yet. Our home resort of BCV didn't have any studios, so I'm on the waitlist. I was able to book BWV though, which is fine with me. As long as I'm in the Boardwalk area, I'm a happy girl! I followed our 6 nights at BWV with 2 at VB in an oceanview inn room. I've never been there before, so I'm really excited about checking it out.

Just wanted to share my excitement! I'm so happy with my new purchase!!

WELCOME HOME!!

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time! I haven't been to VB yet, but I know one of these days I'll make it there. Let us know about your trip when you get back!!

Welcome Home !!

It's a wonderful feeling to make those first reservations isn't it? I was bouncing off the walls the first time. Heck, I still bounce around the house just thinking of 'going home'.

Congrats!:)

We're thinking about buying...
They let you go ahead and make a ressie once you paid a deposit, BEFORE YOUR CLOSING? (Sorry for the caps!;))
BCV studios were booked? How far out were you trying to make the ressie for and for what month? Just curious cause that is probably where we'd buy and I'm starting to be concerned a little about availabilities. Hubby would not be happy if I talked him into us buying and then we could never get a room. Guess I'm starting to do a little pre-worrying? ;)
Thanks for any info.

Yes, those first reservations are pretty exciting. Just wait until you make the second, the third, the fourth, the fifth, etc. Hopefully you'll never lose the excitement!

Enjoy!

BCV is the hot place right now - give it time. If you make your reservation at the 11th month time - I am sure you will get what you want.

WELCOME HOME!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :earsgirl:

If you book at your home resort 11 months out, you should have no problem getting the room you want. If you wait until seven months out, members from the other resorts can book at your home resort. The longer you wait to book, the less chance you have of getting the room you want, although a lot of members have been able to get last minute reservations.

Thanks guys! I'm really excited, and already can't wait to book the next trip.

About the availability of BCV, the lady I talked to did mention that BCV has been exceptionally popular lately. I assume that this is because all of the new members buying at BCV want to stay there, as well as existing members who want to check it out. There was availability for some of the nights, just not the whole week (I'm going October 4 - 10).

Yes, they let me make a reservation before I closed, although I believe this is only available by going through Disney (not resale). My guide gave me the member services number on Friday and told me that as soon as I was in the system I would be able to make a reservation. I didn't get a chance to call until today, but they didn't have any problem locating my account.

Welcome home!

Our first trip home is in August so I know EXACTLY how you feel!
