...And boy, does my house smell good!:D The bread, however, seems to weigh as much as a couple of bricks. That can't be right...

LOL, homemade bread does smell good. I don't know why your's would be heavy though. I just know my recipe worked. lol

serena!! post your recipe!!! please?!

Maybe the yeast wasn't at the right temp.

I like the frozen bread dough - it smells wonderful and is so easy. I am making a loaf today. It will make up for the "yucky" leftover dinner I am planning.

Maybe you forgot baking soda..............I know when I tried to make Bannana bread the other day, I didnt have any and my mini-loafs were pretty heavy:confused: :(

I shouldnt bake;)

Okay, I will. I've got to find it though. This is a family recipe by the way. :)

You're tempting me to get my bread machine working. I love the smell of bread baking! :teeth: Will it blend with my YC apple scented candle?

Cinlee, that's what I was thinking about yeast, too. Yes, Serena, post your recipe! I never knew the whole process took so long. All I kept thinking about was those poor frontier women who probably did it every day of their lives.
