I need a online job that pays $40.00 a month. Any Ideas??

I am unable to drive, so I need something I can do from home (but nothing to do with children because they are little vats of germs that get me sick). Also, in order to qualify for my state health care (because my state is stupid) I cannot earn more than $40 a month. I honestly cannot think of a job like that... If anybody knows of anything that is not survey based, that's like working for an actual company that would be very helpful!

That's only $10 a week... I wouldn't try to find an actual job that pays that little.. it you're in need of that money, I would do one of the online survey sites that give you points/cash.

For example, I bet you could make about that much per week on swagbucks doing their surveys, etc... then buy amazon gift cards and use them for household items you need.

I need the job to qualify for the state health care so it has to be something reportable with a W2 form.

Not gonna happen *you need a W2* why not take public transportation and get an actual job and insurance through your employer??

What about a direct sales thing? Tupperware, scentscy (sp?) and Mary Kay all seem popular in my area

Well.....Webcams are good for many things and business ventures, might bring in some money :rotfl2:

Anyways, on a serious note I see you need a W2[/I]- Are you able to take public transit? For a W2 it would make sense to find anything at all on a bus line that you could commute to. Any retail with a few minutes?

I'm disabled (however because I was a stay-at-home mother most of my adult life, I do not qualify for SSI Disability).

I have a seizure disorder (every time I have a seizure anything new has to be relearned), my speech is also affected (I forget simple words that shouldn't be hard to remember), I have balance problems as well (I am very wobbly on my feet, I use a cane or a walker when I'm outside the house).

I used to be on the state health care when I first moved here but then they were stupid and took me off it and now I have several $40,000 hospital bills which my stupid private health care insurance is not dealing with. I pay $160 a month for Heath Insurance but it does NOTHING to alleviate the actual cost of hospital stays (which happen about every 3 or 4 months, every time I have a seizure). Doctor's visits are still insanely expensive.

It would be cheaper to get a really high life insurance policy to pay off all this debt after I seize, go into a diabetic coma, and peacefully pass on to the afterlife. However, my hubby loves me too much to let that happen and I still need to see my daughter married and have babies of her own, so I need a $40 a month job so I can qualify for my stupid state's health care plan again.

You might be able to try online tutoring a couple hours per month. I did that as a college student for gas money....hope you find something!

Call your local newspaper and see if there is anything that you could do from home. You might be able to do some brief interviews, or follow up for other reporters, write up short articles and send them in using your computer.

Contact your local history museum, or other non-profit organizations. The larger groups sometimes need folks to stuff envelopes, or do data entry jobs. Again, there might be phone calls that you could make from home. (Sometimes people need to be reminded of meetings.... and maybe they would be willing to pay you to do this job.)

Contact your local Lions International Club. They will not be able to give you a job, but they are local/community based, and they may be able to give you some suggestions.

Can you do any kind of home companion visits for the elderly? Maybe you could put up notices at the church and see if anyone would be interested in a visit and a meal. (Kind of like the meals on wheels program.)

I saw your note that you need a W-2, so this might not work. Would self employment do?

I have a side business of watching dogs out of my home (kind of like doggie daycare). You can do as little or as much as you'd like. I charge $22 per night, so you'd make up your $40 with two nights of dog care.

Just a thought...

this might sound cheeky, but why not move to another state? i know that won't be cheap and alot of hassle, but its an idea lol.

on a serious note, how about proofreading? I have no idea what that would cost or anything else about it, but i heard someone mention that they do that. They were complaining they didn't make much from it lol

Can your husband or a friend hire you for housecleaning and submit a W2 on your behalf?

Is it a limit of $40 a month or just $500 a year?

Technically you don't have to report any income till it's $600 in a year. It's going to be awfully hard to do that. Can you work for one month a year? Like a holiday job that pays minimum wage. There's phone banks for donation centers, like the AmVets that can be done from home. You just set up a scheduled pick up for the donations.

You could also sell on ebay, you can request a form for the income earned through that. Although I think you have to reach $20,000 in one year or more than 200 auctions for them to send it automatically and report it to the IRS. A lot of mumble jumble in that, but you could at least control your income that way.

I sell stuff on Etsy and make a little more than $40 a month, I think. I'm not sure if they can get you W-2 though.

Does your DH drive, or your daughter, a friend? Reason I am asking...could you deliver a local newspaper? The rural routes are delivered by car and you could just ride in the vehicle with them, but have the paycheck be in your name.

Do you belong to a church where you might be able to volunteer hours beyond the minimum/max you could earn? That way you could get the w2 that is required.

workplacelikehome.com lots of jobs that are all from home... mturk is one that I can think of off the top of my head that will get you something like that. Or Jinget

I know the state does pay people to just sit with someone a few hours a week. You could call and ask. I would inquire about just sitting with someone who needs company, or to just fix a simple lunch. I did that for a while. It did not pay much but it helped.
