I am sorry for the death of two innocent people.

I hope Jen realizes that excuses were the wrong thing to give her brother. That if only more people, especially his family , had told him earlier that a man does not beat the ones he loves, he might not be a murderer now.

I forgot to add....it was his MOTHER'S gun!!! He has been a convicted felon since 1989. He has been caught with a firearm and parole revoked *6* times b/c his mother gave him a gun.

My heart goes out to that family and to you since you knew them and actually know both sides.

About 10 years ago this same thing happened next door to me. The mom (the son was at grandmas, thankfully) took her dad and came over to get get some more clothing. Richard (the drunken H) parked his truck elsewhere and hid in the house and waited for her. As she went to enter the front doorway, he attacked her and was going to beat her when her father (who was known to carry a gun everywhere he went) shot him dead in that doorway!
I wish this Mcdade woman would have taken someone with her besides her daughter. How tragic for this family. I hope he gets what he deserves.

Thank you so much for posting your story Buckalew I don't even know how to explain how I feel....I am so enraged and agitated....ugh...I wish I was on that jury.

I'd like to know why the police talked this horrible POS (as you put it) out of suicide! They should have handed him the gun to do it! Now he'll cost the tax payers a ton of money & two innocent people are gone. So very sad.

Wow! I will never understand how some people can condone such behavior. Jen and her mother should be ashamed of themselves for bailing him out and condoning/justifying his behavior. They are just as guilty as he is.

You are absolutely right to feel the way you do. It disgusts me that his family continues to support him, and his mother even helped him to do what he did by giving him a weapon. It is truly unjust that he continues to live, while two innocent people do not. Sorry for the pain you are going through.

I haven't posted about this because frankly, I have been too upset and ENRAGED to post without curse words. I have been best-friends with "Jen" for 15 years now......her family has always left something to be desired but she is a good person.

Well, she has this slug....POS of a brother...he has been arrested *26* times for domestic violence and various other crimes since 1989! She ALWAYS takes up for him.....you know....it wasn't HIS fault that he beat the **** out of his wife...she MADE him do it!

Well, he just committed an unspeakable act against a family I knew....I babysat this wonderful little girl. She was precious and lovely and now is gone.

Jen wants my support for her family...because they have been torn apart b/c her brother is probably going to DEATH ROW!

SHE always made excuse for this MONSTER...she always bailed him out of jail and gave him a place to live....

It is a sad, sad, sad day when this monster can be allowed to kill after being incarcerated *26* times!!! Please pray for the McDade family...we are so heartbroken over this.

A tragedy that should have been avoided if the system would keep habituals locked up...26 times is unexcusable to be let out on, and also for her to have known something was wrong, but timing wasn't right for the order???
