is it a big deal or will it go away?

broken blood vessels may heal on their own. it's just like a black and blue mark anywhere else.

but if it's a very large red spot, or if you're having any vision problems you might want to go to the doctor.

LOL I did this once.....actually turned the entire white of my eye red. At of course the worst time in your life to have that happen--as a teenage girl. My quilt had fallen off the end of my bed in the middle of the night, and I reached down to grab it and yank it up....it was an old fashioned quilt, made of wool and cotton batting, so it was VERY heavy...well, a small rip in it caught on the bedpost of my bed, so when I gave it hard yank, it slipped right out of my hand....but my hand kept going, and I socked myself square in the eye. Made myself see stars and everything, and then had the lovely red eye the next morning. It faded a bit after a few days, but took a couple of weeks to disappear completely. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread....LOL....I just hadn't thought about that in years. (And I'm not laughing at your discomfort....just at my own!)

Jodi, just to be on the safe side, go see your doctor. I mean, from the sound of it, it doesn't sound like it's anything to me. But we can't see you, and we aren't your doctor.

My cousin was in a car accident a long time ago. Her eye looked really bad with all the red in it. But the doc did say it would go away in time.
