I don' think i have ever stressed over this so much before!
:confused3

help :(

I got Lego for DD 3 and DD 7 months. They have some lovely "girly" Lego stuff. Got my youngest DD Disney Lego and the 3 year old, a Lego princess´castle. Don´t know yet what to get DD 9, maybe a mp3 player, cause she loves music. I´d love to hear more ideas.

:confused3

I never do my shopping until about a week before Christmas anyway. We hate shopping. :rotfl2:

You have over a month before Christmas, that is plenty of time. I have a DD that is 10 1/2, no idea what to get her either. The boys are 13 and 10 1/2 and not a clue what to get them. I think the problem is that they have enough stuff already. We don't buy them that much through the year, but there just isn't anything this year that is really in demand, at least that they would want. I know that DS13 would love the new XBox, but he has the old Xbox and PS2, he doesn't need a new one. Last year they got the trip to Disney so that was easy. They aren't into clothes, too old for toys, who knows.

Oh my, pattyt... you're usually just about done by now! You're going to have lots of shopping to do come Friday!!

and I don't know if I can even go friday or not!
gggggrrrrrrrrrrr

I am ready to tell DH - its your chore now good buddy - have fun you think it is easy...

(although for him it will be he will walk into a store - pay full price for a bunch of crap that will get thrown away in 6 months...)

You are not alone! I haven't purchased anything yet. Of course I've got a teenager that lists all expensive electronics. I don't know what to get my other kids...they aren't really into toys....

Oh no! Kids? I haven't told DH yet he's got the kids... you'd think after 4 years he's know he has the kids that morning...

I have my list of what to get everyone done though, so I'm not doing toooooo badly...

AAAKKKK you better call him right now...

we just got an estimate for our fireplace and it is just a tad bit (WAY) over what we alloted  - I told him skip it and for that price we can add a sun room with a jacuzzi ;)

I know everyone says it is the WORST time of the year to get a puppy - but I want to get one before we move to the new house (let him trash this one - lol)
but DH isn't commenting :teeth:

Oh no! No Wilderness Lodge fireplace! I can't imagine making all the decisions needed to build a house, lol.

Yeah girl, just what you need... a puppy, lol! The puppy will wake the baby, and the baby will wake DS and everyone will wake DD... lol.

did you not notice the time of this first post -

I am already awake for no flippin reason

Get off your butt and Git R Done girl!!!!! ;) :earboy2:

Have you tried asking the kids what they want?

For our DD1.5, I got a Cabbage Patch Doll, a stuffed Cookie Monster and a toy purse. For DD4, I got more Thomas Train tracks, more Creatrix, and a toy rain stick (makes noise like rain when you turn the stick). Both kids are getting Lands End bean bags with their names embroidered on them, which I'm sure they'll love for watching t.v.

In the stockings, they'll have one each of the following: Pez, Cracker Jacks, Shake 'N Go Cars, and wind-up toys. DS4 is also getting a new Hot Wheels computer game (he has the Hot Wheels Stunt Track games and LOVES them), also a couple of kids songs c.d.s, a funny puppet, a wallet with $5 in it, and a box of Altoids. DD1.5 is also getting a stuffed giraffe, some hair clips, and The Heffalump Movie. I'm sure there's more for their stockings that I can't remember. I'm not certain this is all going to fit, to be honest.

Other items that I've recommended to family members are Leapster games, books, and puzzles for DS4 and a baby doll and clothes for DD1.5.

We're also taking the kids to WDW early in Dec., so that kindof rolls into Christmas. But if we weren't going to WDW, we would probably take them to a show at the holidays: the Live Pooh Show, The Nutcracker Ballet, etc...

If I had a pre-teen or teen, I would probably consider getting him/her a Firefly phone and/or an Ipod Shuffle for the holidays.

You could always wrap up some dog toys for the kids to open and then you could all go pick out a dog just after Christmas.

I hope something in this helps you figure out some gifts for your kids, Patty. Your house is looking lovely!

I just started my shopping. I have two sons, atges 3 and 4, and a dd whose almost 10. Here are my suggestions:

For your son:
Imaginext playsets: by Fisher-Price. The ones currently in the stores are the dinosaurs, pirates and castle/knight sets, but you can also find fire, police and ems sets on ebay or other online stores. My boys absolutely love them, and all the sets are designed to mix and match.

V-Smile TV Learning System: This was a big hit with my boys! They just got one for their birthdays and they love to play with it, plus it's educational. The set is about $49.99, and the games run anywhere from $17-19.

Tonka trucks: You can't go wrong with boys and Tonkas, especially the ones that light up and make sounds. Costo has a great deal on these right now - less than $18 for a cool firetruck, trash truck, rescue truck and some other cool ones.

Shake 'N Go Speedway: By Fisher-Price. My boys also just got this for their birthday, and it's a huge hit! It's a racetrack that comes with two cars. You have to shake the cars to get them going. It's on sale right now at Toys R Us for 34.99.

Rescue Heroes: little boys love anything Rescue Heroes!

Power Rangers S.P.D. - boys love this stuff.

Here are some ideas for an 11 year old girl. Most of these are things my almost 10 year old dd circled in the Toys R Us book:

Teen Tech DVD personal DVD player - comes in pink or purple. 89.99
Karaoke player (my dd loves hers!)
Dance Dance Revolution games and dance pad
Moon Shoes (my dd's getting these for Christmas)
My Photo Booth - uses polaroid film
Password Journal gift set

For your baby:
Dolls
Tumble Time Tigger
JoJo's Circus Get Up and Play JoJo, or Bedtime JoJo
Little Tykes Cozy Coupe in PINK! Plus at Toys R Us, you get free electronic sounds gas pumper when you purchase the coupe for 39.99.

Hope this helps!

Thanks guys -
DS just had his b-day two weeks ago and he didn't really want much for that either - and we got what he wanted...and then some ;)

Chris and Steph - I might have to check out that pink cozy coop car since DS's police one is all beat up - good idea...

I had the same panic recently.Things that I have gotten(or getting) my Dd20 mths-JoJo that sings and talks,shopping cart,football,Dora doll,puzzle,little tikes farm.

Well i went shopping last night -
while my oldest DD was in cheering and the middle guy was home with dad -
and quess what I bought...

NOTHING (stop laughing Jenny2)
I picked a few things up - and then put them down thinking - geez he already has something like that or it will be in a milion pieces and in the trash in a week)

SO I thin tried a new approach - I wentto buy myself something - a nice sweater - (sometimes once I get on a roll... then I can relaly get shopping) well I didn't even find a sweater I liked...
and thats a whole nother thread - I mean why do they have to be short enough for a teenager or old lady looking??
Even the IZOD sweaters all had sequice on the them
