My immediate family is planning a trip to Disney World next month. There are 4 of us. I made all of our dining plans months ago. At the last minute (about a month and a half ago ) my parents decided to meet us for three days and bring our niece for her first Disney trip. I am so excited!!! I was able to move around or adjust most reservations...except 'Ohanna. I can't seem to find a reservation for more than 4 and I can't make myself drop it yet...I love it. A friend told me she brought an extra person for an ADR and it was no big deal but three seems excessive! Worst case scenario...is it awful to show up with 7 people for a 4 person ADR? Would we just be turned away? I'm usually a rule-follower but oh, the bread pudding!!!

Unlikely to work at an extremely popular place like Ohana. If you're on the dining plan and need to use credits up, I advise against trying. If you're willing to potentially kill an hour waiting and be told no and make a switch to a CS that night, you can give it a shot.

There is no way to know ahead of time if you will be turned away or not. It depends on how busy they are, and unfortunately, 'Ohana is a very busy restaurant.

You have to ask yourself what you will do if the extra guests can't be seated. Would you all walk away? You would still be charged the no show fee. Would some of you eat and some of you try and find something else?

I didn't think about the no show fee...I guess I'll keep trying to get a bigger reservation right up to the 24 hour mark.

If you aren't dealing with DDP, I would recommend canceling Ohana and eating at Tambu or Kona.

Tambu has the bread pudding.

Did you call, or just try to get it online? Maybe over the phone they can give you some pixie dust. Also, maybe try a separate ADR for three? Perhaps the day before something will come open as folks will call to cancel at the last minute or be charged the fee. I hope you get what you really want.

I tried calling as well as looking on line. When I called, they looked for three reservations as well as seven and there wasn't anything. When I've been trying online, I've been trying to find 7. Thank you for reminding me to look for a three person reservation... I bet those pop up more frequently than reservations for 7.

If you can get a 3 then you can still sit together. I would check everyday - there are always cancellations. Especially days close to your ADR. I hope it works. I would hate to cancel it also.

I would keep checking. And check the cancellation thread for May each day, as people cancel adrs all the time. You might even have luck finding the adr for 7 when you are on your trip. This seems to be the best way - check the day before and even the day of, you never know. I would not suggest showing up with 3 extra people though.. Ohana is such a busy and popular restaurant and most of the time they don't even take walk ups. Good luck!

I would keep trying, but no way would I show up with three extra people and expect Disney to accommodate me. I can't even begin to imagine how many times this happens at each restaurant everyday. This would not be a case of adding an additional person to a party of 3 that is already sitting at a 4-top table. This would shuffle around all tables - if they even bothered to try and accommodate - to fit you at a table double in size. Not to mention fire codes are a very real reason for reservation limitations.
