I have to say....digital scrapping

has made me really look at my supplies and how I scrap. I am still all paper and don't see my self changing over. It makes my head hurt. Plus I really love handling my stuff....But it has sparked my creative side!

But this past month I have been scrapping again and having fun with it. I think I got away from the really creative side, you know mixing papers/colors/patterns, mixing material and gasp.....cutting pictures in shapes other than square or rectangle! LOL! I think I realized it still is fun to cut and do....which when you see the digital stuff they have lots of embellishments, lots of layers, lots of colors and sparkly stuff! And what is the reason? Because they can and it doesn't hurt the pictures.....they have the orginals saved. Well I do too! Granted once my pages are done I can't go back in and change it easily. But that is ok! The orginal photo is still on my hard drive! Nice and safe and all in one piece!

So hopefully this renewed energy will keep me going and help me stay creative! I like all the different colors and textures! I still do like simple. But I like throwing in some flair!

LOVE digi scrapping... but you already know that. now I can just do cute little projecty type things with all my scrap stuff. for me, it definently takes the pressure off keeping up. I'm (gasp) actually scrapping 8th grade which is the current year... I just finished one random christmas layout, probably will do 2 more pages for xmas. And of course project 365. (that's so much fun digitally and I'm still caught up with it ) maggie

I paper scrapped for about 15 years and have been digi scrapping for 1 1/2...there is a definate difference! I never put ribbons, buttons, staples, or glitter on my paper pages...but I love doing that on my digital layouts!

I'm glad that the digital layouts have inspired you in your paper layouts! THat's what it's really all about, doing what makes you happy, and what you love! I hope that inspiration will stick with you throughout the year!
