I only recently got onto Facebook. Not long ago AT ALL. Anyway, went out, friended my b-mom who friended me back. Then her younger two (I'm the oldest) friended me, so I friended them.
And like 2 days ago, one of them updated our info so it says we're sisters. When I responded that yes, yes it's true it hit me like a ton of bricks.
I HAVE SISTERS.

It's hard to explain, but emotionally, something is different. My momma is and will always be my momma. I love her in a way I will never love anyone else.
But my b-mom is my mom too and it's only now that I can admit that without feeling like I've betrayed my momma.
Geez. The things you learn about yourself. I have SISTERS.
I know someone with a step-sis that she's never been close to and I've encouraged her to do the Facebook thing as she wants to be closer to this step-sister.
What a strange, wonderful epiphany.
Sisters. And a mom.
Me.

Aw...you made me cry happy tears

They won't have to wait to find each other as adults since we were able to form a friendship with the other family early on. I think the kids are very fortunate.
