Need help with planning ADR for our May trip. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge Villas. Let me start with giving a run down of what we eat and maybe you can help me with a few items.

Me- I eat most mainstream food. Not a fan of onions or peppers but usually you can order items without them. Not into foo foo, my meal does not need to be made into an art piece with three different sauces drizzled on the plate. I want food not art. No food allergies but I do not do well with spicy.

DH- VERY picky, no meat, no veggies (I am not kidding) eats crab legs, lobster, fried flounder or similar fish, fried shrimp, pasta with marinara sauce, cheese filled pasta with marinara sauce, baked ziti, cheese pizza, French fries, crab cakes, mozzarella sticks and he will eat these items directly but not mixed or adjusted. By this I mean he will not eat pasta with tomatoe sauce with crab or shrimp or anything. He will do crab or lobster alone, not with any sauce or paired with anything.

Niece (his) 5- eats chicken nuggets, bananas and apples. That’s all folks

Niece (mine) 7 -eats everything at least once. The most adventurous child I have ever met.

OK now my questions.
1.We most breakfasts covered at the villa. Some lunch can be covered with counter service. I need suggestions for the other lunches and all dinners. We are there 10 days.
2.We will be celebrating our anniversary during the visit. Need suggestions for a romantic dinner for just the two of us. (I believe V&A at GF is out due to lack of options for my husband). We usually go to Tony’s and Fulton’s every visit, I would like something different for a special meal.

Well, since he likes lobster I would suggest Narcoosie's at GF. I believe they still have whole Maine lobster there as an entree. If not, Shula's Steakhouse at the Dolphin has whole Maine lobster.

I have not eaten at Shula's because they bring the live lobster out to the table for you to see and I'm terrified of those critters! But I have eaten at Narcoosie's several times and it's a very nice location, sitting on the water looking at MK. You can even make ADR's for a time to coincide with the Wishes fireworks and watch them from the restaurant. It is a nice place but I would not consider it upscale dining.

Sorry I can't help you more. No picky eaters in our group.

After reading your DH's requirements and yours, the first place that popped into my mind was dinner at Cape May. It's a buffet that is seafood oriented. I am pretty sure there are chicken nuggets on the kid's buffet. I'm sure you'll find something because the selection is pretty wide.

Check the online menus in the Dining section......
you'll be able to preview all of the restaurant. You could even "present" them to everyone involved and see if there is anything for them.

good luck.

PS It makes me feel so lucky.... the ONLY food that I won't eat is RAW tomatoes.... I love everything else

Whenever we go to WDW with picky eaters we do buffets, something to please everyone

Dinner at Cape May

Nice dinner, Yachtman's Steakshouse, Jiko, or Artist Point

I am going to agree, buffets will be your main stream. There will be something for everyone to be happy.

I will look into buffets. Do you think if I call Beach Club they will tell me if crab legs are on the dinner buffet?

Last time we were there I mapped out the places that served chicken nuggets. :) If I remember correctly:

MK -
Cosmic Ray's - chicken nugget meal
Columbia Harbor House - Chicken strips

EPCOT -

Electric Umbrella - chicken nuggets I think
Liberty Inn - Chicken strips or nuggets

Aren't crab legs on the menu at Coral Reef now too?
As for the kids, buffets are the way to go - chicken nuggets/strips available at almost every one.

I don't mean to be critical but I think you all need to walk on the wild side a little more. You are missing out on so many things. Go someplace that will force you to step outside your food box. Your diets don't sound too healthy either. Your "adventerous" child sounds normal to me -- take her lead and try something new.

Portabello Yacht Club is an Italian Style restaurant that serves seafood also ( they do have crab legs on their menu). They are located at DTD Marketplace right behind Fulton's. We went there this past June and loved it. It is going to be a must do for every trip. You can also special order foods, for instance my 2 DDs don't care for marinara sauce so we got them buttered noodles instead.

Narcoosie's at Grand Floridan, and Fulton's in Down Town Disney are the two best... but also the most expensive!

Crab legs, and lobster at Disney can turn into a $450 family meal...Might help cure some of that picky eating :)

Don't feel bad as our family is full of picky eaters. The only one that isn't picky is DH!

Narcooses has lots of seafood.
Epcot's Rose and Crown has fish and chips (fried fish)
Most places I have seen offer some sort of fish/seafood entree. Does he like Salmon? Most TS have some type of salmon. My 13 year old is a freak about sauces and things touching his food.. I swear he is OCD about his food touching :rotfl: he always asks to have his sauce on the side and his food not touching (I swear he asks whenever we go to any place to eat not just WDW... its embarrassing LOL) so ask them to hold the sauces to the side.

The apple and banana girl sounds like a typical 5 year old :lmao:
Most places have a fruit selection so she won't starve. Will she eat hot dogs?
I know WDW has started this kids menu healthy eating thing so nuggets are a little harder to find at some of the TS places. If you don't see something on the menu she likes, ask the CM! I know my little girl wouldn't eat anything at one place we were at (I forget which place it was hahaha) at the CM brought her a PB&J sandwich which saved the day!
