So, I was reading on someone's TR (I wish I could remember who?

) that they never carry bags into the parks. This way they can avoid the bag check line and get in through the gates a little faster.
This is genius to me. But I have been having trouble convincing the DW she could travel without a bag of emergency supplies.
Last night I had an epiphony...EXPANDABLES! These are bags (fanny pack, tote bag, backpack, or duffel bag) that fold into a little zipper pouch that you can clip to your belt or carry inside your pocket. I have been making them for years at work.
So here is our plan. DW and I will wear shorts with big pockets everyday (perhaps Cargo). We will stuff our emergrency supplies (sun block for my Irish skin, 1stAid kit, extra batteries, etc...) in our big pockets and clip a couple EXPANDABLES to our belts. Then once in the park, we can unzip the bags and move the supplies out of our pockets and into the bag.
It is genius I tell you. We will have bags in the park, but won't have to go through an annoying bag check each time we enter.
