I have no title, to hold me down...Aug08 PTR with free dining?

I am very angry with AAA. I am going to try to call them today for one last opportunity. But I am kind of thinking about changing to POR anyhow. I love that place and have not stayed there in many years.

i see u booked waterview, there it is not worth it. the mansions u have bushes blocking the view. I would ask for AB building 14 or 18 if u want a trundle bed. they r close to bus depot and main building.

thanks for the tip. I will look into that.

So I was discussing Disney with some friends yesterday and we had an unsettled debate over strollers.

Is it better to go through the headache of traveling and being responsible for a personal stroller all day or is it better just spend the kudos bucks to rent for the week?

We argued for quite some time and came to no happy conclusion.

I would love to hear the dis' opinion. :listen:

My kids went at 3 and 4 and we didn't bring a stroller, and really usually didn't feel we needed one. We are anti-stroller for older kids. (course we left the parks by 3 in the afternoon every day and the kids were asleep by 8)...:rolleyes1

But if you think you should have one, I say buy a cheap umbrella stroller with a sun shade (we used to have one we got for $25 at Buy Buy Baby). you'll make out ahead on those nasty huge plastic ones, and you can personalize it before you go, so it doesn't get lost in the sea of strollers....also, I hear Disney SELLS strollers for $40, and the rental fees have gone up again.

I will not be using a stroller this trip. I have already threatend...umm...I mean friendly reminded my DS that he must walk this trip. We have been practicing on the weekends.

I also told him that if he needed a stroller, it would come out of his gift/candy money at WDW. :scared1: that peaked his ears up. :lmao:

My friend who is going in Dec started the debate. She wants to carry a stroller, her DH wants to rent.

I vote rent. I hate carrying those things on planes, trains, boats, and buses.

Oh yes! FREE DINING!!!!!!!

I have not given up complete hope on AAA, but at least I have a good back-up plan now. :woohoo:
Wooohooo, that's where I'm staying, what dates?????

First year we went my DD was 7 and there was no way we were having a stroller! How old are your kids?

My vote is to rent the Disney stroller. They are so easy to move around you can actually do it with one hand (the hand can then be used to hold an ice cold glass of beer).

My girls are too old for strollers but if they were small enough, I'd be renting them or bringing my own.

did u hear from AAA?

   :headache: No. Stoopid AAA! I should probably call them, but I know I will curse the girl out. And that isn't good for my blood pressure.

8/22 - 8/30. DS will be 5 for the trip.

Or a nice diet pepsi.

Now that didn't really answer the debate.

:headache: ooohhh, I'm late, late, late. But caught up:thumbsup2

Congrats on the free dining. I agree, go with AB and get anything but bldg 28. That's a trek. 14 is the best.

To stroll or not to stroll?....well, at thirty dollars a day to rent...:confused3 That's a lot of money. I'd bring one in.

Welcome aboard. You didn't miss too much. I am just starting to get some momentum.

Thanks for the tip. I will definitely be shooting for AB14.

that is terrible that they never got back to you. Maybe she thinks she will lose money if she does it. :sad2:

The stoller doesn't cost $30 per day!

A double is like $16 and a single is like half that.

I finallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy got an email from AAA. Package was exact same price as the package I booked with disney.com. :confused3

But, I think I am going to stick with AAA since I already sent them a large amount of money. In fact, I am going from having 1/3 of the trip paid to almost 1/2 of the trip paid. Now that is a reason to celebrate. :cool1:

But I won't cancel my .com ressie till I get a paper copy of the AAA resie. I so don't trust them right now.
