I have to travel up the main state road to get to campus for class. This is the main road into and out of alstead where the worst flooding in NH was this past weekend. And also the route to the sandpit in North Charlstown

When I went up to campus today, there was just dump truck after dump truck coming down the road loaded with rocks, gravel and dirt. Mixed in was trucks towing boats- mainly state marine patrol boats, but some private boats as well.

Coming home tonight the trucks were still running. Some of these trucks are local companies, but quite a few have names I do not recognize...from as far away as the seacoast in NH and the western towns in VT.

Never have I seen this many trucks...it's incredible.

it's still raining here now, they let Surry Dam go earlier in the day, and evacuated a elementary school in Keene before doing so....All went well, and no flooding was reported from releasing the dam

Hopefully the scanner will stay as quiet tonight as it is right now
